Find yourself in a comfortable seated position.
I'll invite you to gently close your eyes.
Begin to focus on your breath.
Following the gentle inhale and the gentle exhale.
Watching the breath like a flowing stream with no force,
No strain.
Just letting it calm and go.
Meditation will be focused around love for your body.
Tapping into that feeling of gratitude and appreciation for your body and everything that it does for you.
I know you may have some difficulties with loving your body.
You may have some resistance to accepting it.
I invite you to feel that resistance,
To notice it.
See if you can soften it.
Your body is deserving of your love.
Your body is your vessel.
It is an instrument.
It is your home.
There may be days that you struggle to be within your body.
I know that that's okay.
But in this safe space,
We will show some gratitude simply for what our bodies are for.
For what our bodies do.
We spent so long hating our bodies or showing them resistance.
But here is a chance to apologise,
To heal that relationship.
So I'd like you to bring your hands onto your feet.
Feeling your feet.
Maybe even giving them a little massage.
I want you to repeat in your mind or out loud.
I'm sorry feet for taking you for granted.
I am grateful for all that you do.
I am grateful for you allowing me to experience this life and the complete fullness you bring.
Take a moment to notice what your feet do for you.
And how different your life would be without them.
Now bringing your hands onto your thighs,
Onto your legs.
Your thighs and legs are one of those places that we can often struggle with.
Now repeat in your mind or out loud.
I am sorry legs.
I'm sorry for wanting to change you.
For saying cruel words to you.
I love you.
I am grateful for you.
Take a moment to notice all that your legs do for you.
For how they allow you to walk.
To run,
To dance.
Notice how different your life would be without them.
Bring your hands to your stomach.
Repeat again in your mind or out loud.
Repeating I'm sorry stomach for trying to change you.
For filling you with harsh words.
For not honoring you.
I am grateful for you.
I love you.
Now bringing your hands onto your arms.
Be holding yourself and embrace here.
Thanking your arms,
Always how your arms allow you to do so much.
To hold loved ones.
To do things you enjoy.
Express that gratitude.
Thank them.
Tell them you love them.
How different would your life be without them.
Now bringing your hands onto your ears.
Feeling that slight pressure.
Using your ears for being able to listen.
To hear the words I love you.
To hear the birds in the morning.
To hear your favourite song.
Notice how different your life would be without them.
Bringing your hands onto your eyes.
Noticing that extra little bit of darkness.
As you hold your eyes here.
Notice everything your eyes allow you to do.
Thank them.
Express that gratitude.
Noticing how different your life would be without them.
Now hold yourself,
Embrace yourself.
Notice how your body is always working for you.
How it thrives.
How in every instance it's taking care of you.
Hold it.
Say thank you body.
Say I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
You can gently open up your eyes again,
Coming back into the room,
The space that you're in.
Thank you for listening.
I miss you and all the thoughts above.
