Transcript

Today's meditation is designed as a mini break in your work day.

Taking some time to find a comfortable seated position.

If you feel comfortable allowing your eyes to close and just feeling into your space.

As you deepen your breath here,

Just really dropping into your seat.

Allowing the weight of your body to sink into your chair or to the floor beneath you.

You may like to drop your shoulders down a little further away from your ears and begin to lengthen your spine towards the sky.

Taking note now of anything that is around you.

You may begin to notice the sounds in your space.

Sounds at a distance or perhaps sounds that are in your immediate room.

You may like to open your eyes briefly and look around the room.

Drinking in all the shapes,

Colours,

Patterns that you can see.

Perhaps exploring what it looks like behind closed eyes.

You may see dark shadows.

Taking a moment now to drop into your sense of taste.

You may recall the last thing you ate or drank.

Perhaps the taste of tea or coffee.

And finally just dropping into your space.

A sense of touch.

Becoming aware of the temperature of the air around you as it touches your skin.

You may notice the pressure of your clothes.

Perhaps the pressure of your body on the seat or floor beneath you.

Now just dropping into your breath.

Taking some time here.

Take in a deep inhalation for the count of four.

Holding for a count of four.

And exhaling for a count of four.

Holding for a count of four.

And inhaling for a count of four.

You may like to return to your normal breath now.

Taking some time to sit.

In the stillness that you have created.

And thanking yourself for creating this mini moment.

This break for yourself in your work day.
