Wayne Dyer And How He Reached Pople

I was blessed to be friends with Wayne Dyer. He was a wonderful man who truly understood how to communicate with people. I learned that he seriously cared about walking his talk. I share some lessons I received from knowing him.

A very big aloha.

I'm Rev.

Cindy Palos,

And I've been involved in metaphysics all my life,

And I've been involved in the spiritual field,

And I've also been doing radio and broadcasting almost all of my life.

And I've been blessed to do some amazing interviews with people.

Now,

I've lived on Maui here for 36 years,

And there's a lot of people who are very much in love with the spiritual field who have moved to Maui.

And I had an opportunity to become friends with Dr.

Wayne Dyer.

And Dr.

Wayne Dyer and I had,

Oh gosh,

Many interviews,

Many,

Many interviews over the years,

Because I have a radio station.

I had the longest running talk show on Maui.

So I did quite a few interviews with him,

And I was really very blessed to know him.

It was kind of a surprise when he passed away.

He passed away rather suddenly,

Not expected.

Of course,

Death often isn't expected.

But he gave so much of himself.

Dr.

Wayne Dyer,

Gosh,

He was really,

Truly a man who would go get up early in the morning,

And actually before the sun rose,

You know,

Early,

You know,

Four or five.

And he'd walk the streets,

And he would talk to people.

And sometimes it would be homeless people and others.

Now,

Some people would be afraid of going out in the morning and talking to homeless people on the street.

But he really did care.

He really,

Truly cared about people.

And I saw him do many wonderful things that a lot of people weren't aware of.

He donated a lot of money to many people who needed help.

He was truly generous in spirit,

But he happened to also be a very good talker.

I asked him one time to do a couple of pieces that I had written poems for,

For an album I was putting out.

And I took it over to his house,

And I had my little unit to record with.

And he looked at the words,

And within,

Literally within just a couple of minutes,

He did a couple of recordings.

They both were beautiful.

They both were really amazingly well done.

Of course,

It was a challenge that happened next door.

They were doing some construction work,

And we literally had to record like maybe one or two sentences,

And then the jackhammer would go off,

And he'd wait till it paused,

And then we'd record a little more.

And it would take that patience,

But he persevered.

And he did a couple of wonderful pieces that I included in an album I did.

And I felt very blessed.

You know,

You never know when your time has come to leave.

But I did this before he had to head on to higher realms.

And I felt very,

Very connected to him.

After he passed away,

I had an interesting dream.

Now,

I often have connections with people who are friends,

Where I do connect with them after spirit,

After their spirits left their body.

And I remember the night after he had passed away,

I clearly saw him by the water.

He loved taking walks along the ocean,

And he would do that in the morning.

And I saw him sitting on the ocean shore,

And he had some of his close relatives and friends around him.

And he was there in spirit and just conveying his blessings.

It was a very special moment.

I felt he was saying farewell and just sharing this blessing that I've only felt a few people be able to share,

That are very evolved,

Where they actually do a download of sorts of their energy to you.

And you get that their gratitude,

Their love,

And their connection when they're going to be going on.

It's a hard thing to describe unless you've experienced it,

But it is a true blessing.

And I felt very honored and very touched,

Very touched by having that experience with him.

I mean,

One of the things that I really learned to love about Wayne Dyer was the fact that he had an ability to really communicate with the people he was speaking to.

He was a school teacher.

He was a school teacher who loved teaching school and left teaching school to go out and begin his higher calling,

Which was more in the spiritual field.

And as anyone might know,

If they tried to put up their first book,

He really had a hard time getting it published.

So he would take it around and go to each of the different colleges and schools and places where they would take people who are talking and lecturing.

And he'd just go out and sell it by creating his little spaces,

Just like any of you would do if you're a teacher.

And he did that until he finally was able to find someone to publish his books for him.

So it wasn't like he was instantaneous.

I just wanted to share that because Wayne had the ability to communicate with an amazing gift,

Really,

Truly.

And another thing that I think helped really make him so interesting was that he never felt like he was finished.

He would be fascinated by new things.

The Tao,

He got very interested in that.

He got very interested in many wonderful things.

I gave him a book once,

A little book that I'd gotten actually from my mother,

That was very powerful and actually originally never even had an author named to it that was so beautiful.

And he landed up doing a whole series of talks on it.

He was that open where he never thought,

Well,

I've already got everything I need to know.

And he always is open to new ideas and to continuing to grow.

And I have to say,

He had this beautiful gift of caring.

He had done a few of these cruises in the last years of his life,

And he was very popular and big at this point.

So when he would do a cruise,

He would sell out the cruises.

And you know how it is.

A lot of people who do talks and book cruises do not like to necessarily mingle.

They want to do the talks that they have booked and scheduled,

And they will go back to their room or have someplace they go where people won't come up and interrupt them.

But with Wayne,

He really enjoyed talking to people,

To communicating with people.

And that,

You know,

Truly was an amazing gift that he had.

And I think that's from him really caring about sharing and expressing and learning his wisdom and learning from others as well.

And I think a few of those things we could probably take into our own lives.

I know I certainly,

I'm in awe of how well he could talk and how he persevered and really would be able to take a subject that a lot of people would think,

Well,

That's interesting.

But he would take it and bring it to a new level in the way he understood it and shared it with people.

So if you're one of those people that want to get into the spiritual field or appreciate that,

There's a lot to be learned from Wayne Dyer's life.

And truly,

The guy was just an amazing man.

And I really enjoyed that,

The moments that I had there with him,

Truly wonderful moments.

And I always remember the time that he came and I videotaped his talk with Ram Dass and just the ability of caring that they shared with each other.

The words,

If you were to write down the words,

They didn't seem that much different than anything you would hear,

Maybe in a normal conversation,

But the caring,

The connection,

The love that was present between the two of them,

I can still remember after all these years.

So I just wanted to share some of those beautiful memories of Wayne Dyer.

And truly,

I still feel very close to him.

And I definitely honor his path and how well he taught people and gave them a lot of insight into the teachings available.
