Aloha,
I'm Reverend Cindy Palos and I hope you're having a beautiful day or night.
I wish to talk to you about how we learn from our meditations,
Our insights,
Our mystical path that goes inside and then emerges what we learn from inside in that sacred space where we connect with our highest self and God and brings it into our everyday life.
And an interesting thing happens when you're on the spiritual path.
I've been on the path for over 55 years meditating every day and you do learn to connect and to go into that process of being relaxed and quiet and turning within and that becomes like a place that's your friend.
You develop a relationship with your inner self and with God and with your soul and all of that is a really true blessing in your life that brings so many gifts.
I feel that often when we practice and when we sit we're bringing back our true state or a memory of our true state of being.
And if we do this in enough time and integrate it into our daily lives then it merges with our inner practice in the outer world.
They're imitations of the highest existence that we are and the highest level that we are but by acting out the role we often can become that role.
So the practice is valuable but I think perhaps even the living of what we practice could be even more valuable.
That's where the hard stuff is done is in the actual living of what we're experiencing on a higher level.
I love Zen for this reason and Zen you kind of take the mat with you wherever you're going so all of life is your sitting practice while you're walking and living and of course Thich Nhat Hanh did a beautiful job of integrating this with his walking meditations and when you do sit in Zen you do that very slow contemplative walking that's so slow that you do bring your meditation into walking.
When you do yoga you are merging your higher self with your body and your body positions.
And I think the creative process also brings that about.
When you see people who are playing music or singing music or doing spoken word they're bringing into their creative actions that same energy of the creative spirit that we can experience in meditation.
So there's so many wonderful practices and ways you can go about doing this and you can actually choose the way that works for you.
There's just an amazing cornucopia of ways that relate to you but through all the ways I think it's so valuable to always have a beautiful practice to start your day in the morning and that's what I've been doing for over 55 years.
I meditate every day in the morning.
I get up at about sometimes 3,
3.
30,
4 o'clock and I don't set my alarm but something on the inner bell goes off that sticks with me from times when there would be the gong of the bell in the Zen Center.
And it's beautiful because there's no interruptions.
There's just spirit and you and that inner energy that you could explore and connect with.
And let's do a morning practice here of what happens in the morning when you get up early and set aside that time to make that deep inner connection.
The first thing I do in the morning is I take my meditation mat,
I put it down on a prayer rug I got from Tibet and I lay it on that prayer rug in front of the altar and then I put my sitting area together you know so I'm comfortable sitting on my cushion and then I light my candle on the altar and then I just do some comfortable breathing.
Just breathing in and knowing that you're just setting this time to connect with your body and your mind and your soul through breathing.
That as you do this you know that you're setting the tone for the day.
That you're setting that intention and energy that you can take from the way you start your day into your day and you can even create your day with that intention.
So let's just do some breathing together here.
Breathing into the count of six,
Holding for three and releasing and breathing out for the count of six.
Holding for a couple of seconds and then breathing in and as you follow your breath in your mind is directed to just follow the breath in.
Breathing into six,
Holding for three and releasing and breathing out and releasing anything that's there in your energy field that you want to let go of.
And now breathing in a breath of alignment.
Aligning your body and your mind and your soul together.
Holding that breath,
Aligning it all.
I just felt my neck pop and crack into alignment and then just breathing out.
Often in the morning you will find in meditation that you may have slept away where you have to realign your spine and your body will sometimes crack and go into alignment in a certain way.
Your spine likes having time to go into alignment.
Align yourself and just breathe in the blessings of being here now.
And release and release and release.
Breathing the blessings of being in,
Holding and releasing,
Releasing and releasing and letting go.
Making sure your spine is comfortable,
Erect and that your body feels in tune with the higher energy coming into it through your highest chakra of your crown into your head.
Circling the light in your head with light,
Light,
Light.
Clearing anything of shadows away.
Releasing any tension that might be there.
See light in your eyes,
Light in your jaw,
Light in your ears.
Ah,
And bring that light into your throat.
Bringing that light into your throat chakra creative center.
Breathing light fully into that beautiful throat chakra.
Let it feel full of energy and mana.
Ah,
And bring that energy into your heart.
Warming your heart up just like you were giving your heart a cup of lovely chai or coffee.
Just allowing it to be steeped in love.
Love,
Love,
Breathing in that love.
Holding that love,
Expanding that love and letting go of anything that may need to be released.
Breathing out.
Breathing in that beautiful third chakra golden energy.
Calling in that light to that center there with your lovely liver and your kidney and your stomach and your spleen and all of the pancreas.
Filling it with light,
Light,
Light.
Spinning energy around.
Filling all of yourself there with a golden light and coming down to the base chakra.
Coming down,
Down,
Down to your very base chakra and letting go of anything that may need to be released there.
Anything in the second chakra that you feel that you need to release.
Anything you need to forgive and heal,
Let it be released.
Anything in the root chakra,
Bring the energy there.
Let the light be enlightened from your root chakra up to the very crown chakra.
Breathing it in from the root chakra to the crown chakra with a breath in.
Aligning it all,
Holding it on the crown chakra and letting that energy come back down through your spine and down to your legs and down to your feet.
And now see a lovely protective light that goes up over six feet above your crown chakra,
Down through your whole body,
Down below your feet.
See that lovely energy across your body to the left and the right of you extending out in a protective field in front of you and behind you.
And now you're safe and protected in a wonderful armor of light for the day.
Just feel that good energy of healing protective light surrounding you,
Filling you with energy.
And breathe in and just breathe out.
Just allowing yourself to be here now.
And take a moment to imagine what you would like to do today.
What would be your goal,
Your intention of an attitude to carry today?
Would it be an attitude of gratitude?
Ah,
It's a wonderful attitude to set an intention for.
An attitude of awareness,
Mindfulness,
Possibly an attitude of a creative day where you create something beautiful.
How would you create your day?
Take a moment to imagine everything you need to do today done with the highest intent and energy.
Done in peace,
Flowing gently from project to project to doing what you need to do with ease and peace.
Know that you have the ability to do this,
To set that intention,
To do what you need to do with grace.
Know that you can always breathe throughout the day to remember that intention,
To stop for a moment and breathe in and breathe out,
Which will recall that intention.
And now slowly come back,
Slowly come back into your whole beingness.
Feel yourself redeemed,
Renewed,
Restored.
Take a moment to just feel good.
Feel rejuvenated and ready to start your day with love,
With light,
With gratitude.
Throw in some joy and know that it is so and so it is.
I thank you for taking the time to be here,
Sharing this wonderful energy together.
The highest blessings to you always.
I love you.
