Aloha,
I'm Reverend Cindy Palos and I have been an empath for probably most of my life,
But when I started meditating at a very young age,
About 13 or 14,
Every day I realized that my qualities of being an empath were actually being increased and increased as I became more sensitive and more aware of my soul and light and energy and love and attuned to God,
I felt more and more as an empath.
And at that time,
Because that was a long time ago,
There really was not anything I can remember that talked about what an empath was.
I mean,
There were a lot of talks about psychics and of course being intuitive always has been there,
But I didn't realize really how there are special qualities that happen when you are an empath.
Now I found many things out and I also found many tools that I could use as an empath and I think that's important to discuss and talk about because we hear many things about what's good about being an empath,
We hear many things about what's bad as being an empath,
And we don't always hear a lot about what as an empath we can do to maximize these qualities that we have as an empath.
So I want to talk a little bit about things that are positive,
Things that may be negative and things we can do to use the tools that we have as an empath.
Now being an empath can be a little overwhelming.
If you're an empath,
You know what I'm talking about.
You're getting in a lot of different energies,
Thoughts,
Feelings,
You're aware of a lot of things and sometimes you're not even able to handle all the things that may be coming at you if you're in a place where a lot of this is going on.
So you may not really be able to feel this and you may be overwhelmed and you may be stressed by what you're getting in because it is like a huge input of energy to deal with.
You may in fact find yourself putting on an act and trying to cover up what you're feeling and what you're seeing and what you're sensing because you may not want to really let others know what's going on with you because you realize at a pretty early age as an empath that others get afraid or overwhelmed or they may also get frightened by what you tell them that you sense and feel.
So when you realize that,
You start to pretend you're not what you are and you cover it up just not to have to go through that whole thing of trying to explain to someone what's going on with you.
I know I did that in ways I didn't even realize until much later in life that I was acting out a role that was more acceptable to people than what I really was,
Especially since I'm in radio and I'm a DJ and as a DJ that wasn't part of what was expected of me as a rock and roll DJ.
The other thing is you also feel that you need to try to help people as much as you can but then there's that thing of like how much can you do and how much can you help and are they really willing to get your help or listen to your help or do they really want your help?
And then there's also that thing about you seeing the good in them but maybe they don't really see the good in them so you do your best to support them which is I think a good thing.
But you also sometimes can realize things about another person that they don't realize and that can be an interesting situation.
I mean if you're an empath you know what I'm talking about.
How much do you tell someone when you realize something about them that they may not be ready to hear or know but at the same time you think it might be good for them but you find out unless they really ask for your help do you really meddle?
Do you really start trying to tell them?
I mean that's an interesting quandary isn't it?
You see sometimes really from a more evolved point of view or sensitive point of view what's going on but do you really try to help them?
Then you have to realize how you do help them if you do want to help them in a way that can be that they're ready for right in their particular place of evolving.
So those are all pretty big things but there's also these amazing gifts that you get being an empath.
You can be very creative.
Most empaths I've met have been extremely creative.
You can be very compassionate.
You're very aware.
You have the access to healing energy.
You experience things very deeply.
You're very intuitive.
So this is all very good but then again these are tools,
Big tools to learn to use.
How you experience your awareness.
How you use your compassion.
How you use your healing energy.
How you take these feelings that you're feeling and not get overwhelmed by them especially if they're feelings that can be feelings of hurt because as an empath you can get very deeply hurt by what some others may think is a simple or throwaway word or two.
You can get extremely hurt by things people say to you.
So these are all things you have to realize.
As an empath you need to really nourish and nurture yourself.
I want to again go into this because it's so important as an empath that you nourish yourself.
And how do you nourish yourself as an empath?
Well this is one of the tools I want to talk about.
I have found that as an empath it's so important to nourish yourself and your spirit in meditation.
By connecting with your soul and God and that energy you can really find a tool that can reinforce who you are.
That can love all of your qualities,
That can heal any of the hurts that have been felt as an empath and also the understanding you need.
Also the protection you need because in that armor of light that is the highest light you can learn to protect yourself from a lot of these feelings that might come to you that aren't even yours.
You have enough to deal with in yourself but if there are harmful energies out there or negative forces out there you need to be especially aware as an empath.
That you need to be sensitive to energies coming in that you do not want to receive.
Because you can receive positive energies but you also can receive negative energies.
And as you go into meditation I always put a huge white light six feet above me,
Six feet below me,
Six feet across.
So right now above me six feet,
Below me six feet,
Right?
Vertical horizontal six feet out on either side horizontally and also in front and behind me six feet and then I fill it in with positive white light and healing energy,
Protective energy all around it so that I have this protective egg in my whole energy field and aura that protects me from negative energy and negative forces.
I do that every morning in meditation.
Consciously doing it really helps.
It does.
It's like a shield,
An armor of light that you can put on that will help protect you from negative energy.
And then you nurture yourself.
How do you nurture yourself?
Well as I said you meditate.
You nurture yourself by going out on walks and getting in positive energy fields in nature.
Going to places where there are beautiful views,
Places where you can sit,
Where you can meditate,
Where you can let the healing energy of trees and birds nurture you and feed you with that positive energy.
As an empath you can receive this positive energy that will feed and heal you.
And you can nurture yourself with reading positive books,
Things that really help bring that energy more into your consciousness.
And by not watching movies that are violent and negative as an empath,
Things that are extremely โ all these horror films as an empath to me are just an assault on me.
I cannot watch a horror movie.
I can't watch these ones that are about the black magic and the things taking over.
I can't watch really bloody violent movies because it goes into my brain and I sleep and I dream about it and it's really extra work to clean that out of my mind and my energy field.
So be aware of that.
Be aware of that.
Don't go there.
If you can help,
Don't go there.
You nurture yourself by eating well and loving and blessing your water,
Your food.
You nurture yourself with that energy that is love,
That wonderful energy that you can love yourself with and also have compassion for yourself,
Compassion for the fact that you are receiving a lot of things as an empath.
And you probably feel very deeply.
So when you take the time to meditate,
Allow yourself to go into your heart and to really find anything that may have hurt you there,
To go into your second chakra where the feelings are and clear out any feelings of hurt that may have been stored there.
You can be hurt very easily by those who are close to you and they may not even be aware of it,
But if they are close to you,
It's good to feel that hurt,
To release it and to let them know,
To honestly let someone know if they hurt you,
That you're very sensitive and they hurt you and that you feel that hurt and that you want to let it go,
But it's okay to release it by telling people that you get hurt sometimes.
And if they're close to you,
If they're a real friend or if they're a loved one,
They should be aware of this.
Another way to deal with what you're feeling and sensing,
Another tool to use is to recognize it and write it down.
Write down what you're feeling.
That way it's out of your mind,
It's not in your subconscious and you can then get it out and once you write it down,
It's easy to bless it and release it and let it be set free.
Another wonderful tool to use is if you're an empath,
Take that energy that you get and use it in a positive way.
There are many,
Many positive ways you can use your tools.
Now,
As an empath,
Maybe it isn't going to be necessarily out there among as many people,
But you can certainly write about it.
You can create because you are creative.
You can maybe write music,
You can write poems,
You can write a blog,
You can certainly help teach others who are empaths as well what you're going through.
You might create a Facebook group for empaths and you can share what you're going through in that group.
There are so many wonderful creative ways as an empath that you can serve and help others.
So maybe take time in meditation to think about what your gifts are that you can share.
That way you're taking who you are and what you are and using it in a higher way.
These gifts that you're given then get to be put to work as they were meant to be given when you became more aware and as you came in more sensitive.
So those are some of the tools that I would suggest and I'll go over them more in the future because I really think that these are special tools for empaths.
To nourish yourself,
That's one of the tools.
To nurture yourself,
Another tool.
To bless your feelings as you feel them.
And to learn how to set those feelings free.
To recognize what you're feeling and to release it.
To write it down and use it creatively.
To walk in nature and take time to nurture yourself there.
And to find ways you can help others.
To find ways that you can share what you've been given in a positive way so you actually feel that who you are as an intuitive,
As an empath,
As a person who's more sensitive can actually help others as well.
Let's just take a few moments and do a quick meditation here.
Just relax.
Breathe in,
Ah,
Feel good.
Put that white light above you,
Six feet up.
Just put that white light down through your spine and out down through your body,
Six feet below you.
Put that white light across you in a horizontal cross,
Six feet out on either side.
Six feet in front of you,
Six feet behind you and allow that energy to be filled in in a beautiful white protective aura.
A bubble of wonderful,
Brilliant white light surrounds you now.
You are now protected and safe.
Breathe in all the wonderful energy of your inner beautiful,
Sensitive self.
Hold that breath and now breathe it out.
Let it fill your mind,
Your body.
Let it heal your emotions.
Allow yourself to feel supercharged with energy as you breathe in now.
Hold it and now let it go into your head and let your head be totally surrounded and swirled with that wonderful feeling of psychic,
Beautiful white light.
Go to that third eye chakra,
That violet,
Beautiful center there in your third eye.
Be in that center.
Breathe into your third eye.
Allow yourself to see your soul light as a violet light there.
Allow that energy to be beautifully seen and protected.
Don't be afraid of anything.
See the vision of who you are.
Breathe it in.
Absorb it.
Be it.
Allow that energy to come down to your throat chakra,
That beautiful creative center.
You have such a gift of creativity there.
See it as a wonderful pool of light.
Ah,
Wonderful safe creative center.
And now just be there in that center of your creative tool of your throat chakra.
Allow yourself to feel the gift of what your creative power is.
Accept that beautiful gift that you have as a creator,
As a co-creator with God.
What is it that your creative self would have you do?
And now come into your heart center.
What there in your wonderful,
Loving heart of hearts is your true,
Loving,
Compassionate nature that you feel right now.
Feel that love of who you are.
Nurture that beautiful inner child that you have there that's always been sensitive and loving and caring.
Don't be afraid.
Allow that love to heal any fear that you have had.
And allow that love to grow and blossom there.
Allow it to expand out throughout all of your body,
Throughout all of your feelings.
Feel that love,
That wonderful,
Unconditional love who you are.
And now come down into your third chakra and allow all of that energy of wisdom there to be felt,
All of your organs there to be supercharged with energy and cleansed.
Breathe in,
Let them be healed.
Feel good.
Allow that good feeling to come into your second chakra where your feelings may have been stored and hidden,
Where you may have had some deep hurt from a long time ago.
Allow a beautiful peach light to come and heal and let that energy to spread throughout your pelvis area,
Your stomach,
Your organs.
Let light spread throughout that entire area of your lower back.
Just breathe in and go.
And now come down to the root chakra where there may be sexual energies there that you need to not hold onto fear,
Past hurt.
Allow yourself to experience your power in that root chakra now.
Embrace that positive energy there in your root chakra.
Feel it.
Allow a beautiful ruby red energy to come down there to the root chakra and let it all be supercharged with the power of who you are.
Breathe this in,
Let all that energy come up to the top of your head to the crown chakra now and let that crown chakra and that lotus and that crown be enlightened with a beautiful crown of light,
A lotus blossoming with a crown around it.
And see that energy spreading up to the soul of who you are,
To the light of all lights,
To that connection of your true self.
And allow that energy of your soul to pour down and nurture all of who you are and your crown chakra,
All of your chakras are now being poured with the nectar of the truth of who you are.
Breathe it in,
Embrace it,
Love yourself.
You are a beloved child of God.
Believe it.
Feel that energy loving you,
Healing you.
Ah,
Feel good.
And now come back into your conscious mind and your body,
100% feeling wonderful and good and thank yourself for taking this wonderful time to understand who you are,
To love yourself,
To allow yourself to feel the truth of who you are.
I thank you for being that beautiful being,
That empath who you are.
And I bless you.

And I embrace you with that wonderful,
Truthful energy of love.
