**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, not agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already part of true meditation.

Transcript

Can I live life without a sense of me at all?

So the mind is observing,

Learning,

Without accumulating the knowledge about me,

The memory of me,

Without being trapped in the past.

When the mind is observing,

It means that there's no observer that observes.

Because the observer is still the me,

The self.

And that observation is not observation at all.

It is still the control through the me,

Distorted by me.

When the mind observes without being the observer,

The intelligence of the whole neuron system starts working.

The mind perceives and acts,

Does the right thing,

Without any control,

Because the whole intelligence of the neuron system works.

But when the me is there,

The me trusts nothing.

The me is always in distrust.

That's why the me always wants control,

Always wants to have a resort,

Always wants to be confirmed,

Be told,

Be certain.

This life,

Which is me,

Is full of conflicts,

Because there is always control.

And look around this society,

It's full of all kinds of control.

That's why we have issues between people,

In the relationship,

In the workplace,

Everywhere.

Because everyone is eager to control.

And this conflict and this hurt is deep.

And this egocentric society justifies this control in many big ways.

And our mind is conditioned to this.

And when we control,

We don't realize the hurt that control brings to us and to others.

And we only achieve things of achievement,

Seeking all kinds of pleasure from this control,

Which is immediate.

But we don't really associate the after-effects of this mental control with our sufferings,

Tremendous and endless suffering.
