**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, do not agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already a meditation practice.

For a mind which is being influenced only wants to do something.

I want to do this,

I want to do that.

I want to have this,

I want to achieve that.

But what one loves to do may be different from what one wants to do.

What one wants to do means there is a motive.

There is a desire,

There is a wanting,

There is a seeking behind it.

The mind is compelled by a goal,

By a target.

The goal,

The target is usually from the influence,

From the culture,

From the environment.

Even the mind is compelled by thoughts in terms of the ambition,

Motive,

Motivation.

The mind changes rather fast because when the thoughts change and what one wants to do is also changed and the mind gets confused.

Such a mind keeps mistaking what one wants to do for what one loves to do.

In that confusion,

One cannot find out what one really loves to do unless the self is totally absent.

The mind is no longer compelled by thoughts,

Motivations,

Ambitions and all the rest of it.

This means that if one really wants to find out what one really loves to do,

Loving is not wanting.

One has to observe oneself objectively,

Carefully to find out what kind of influences the mind is trapped in.

In that discovery,

One understands oneself truly.

So one can find out how to live a life without seeking,

Without ambition,

Without motives,

To live a life simply,

Beautifully where the action is spontaneous.

Perhaps then one can come upon one's passion,

Passion for life,

The life passion.
