If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. Listening to this talk is meditation. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without being stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, no agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already part of true meditation.

For most people on this planet,

Life is rather verbal.

The mind has been enslaved to verbs,

Slogans,

Conclusions,

And expressions.

And verbs carry the thoughts,

All kinds of concepts,

Ideas,

Pleasure,

Imagination,

And illusions.

And a verbal mind is conditioned to numerous ideas,

Ideology,

Concepts,

Philosophies,

Or any personal experiences which are still verbal.

All in all,

The mind is trapped and dominated by the language.

And we all rely on the language for all kinds of things.

The very dependence of the language implies this inward laziness of the mind,

Which is the source and root of the superficialities of this world,

A world trapped in verse.

Can you observe this in yourself?

See how verbal your life is?

The mind keeps chattering.

The organs,

Thoughts,

Talking inside the mind,

Which already shows that the mind is verbal,

Trapped in verse so deeply.

And the mind identifies itself with the verse.

That's what most people feel about their relationship with the language.

They are the language.

You also feel in the same way because the mind has identified itself with the language.
