**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, not agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already part of true meditation.

Transcript

Can one live life without any attachment?

It is not a theoretical question,

But can one answer it while he is living?

To totally observe the movement of thoughts that forms all kinds of attachment.

When the mind is able to observe this whole process of bring about attachment,

In that very observation,

There is deep unstanding.

And in that unstanding,

The mind acts,

Take a sheer action to keep the mind away from the attachment.

Not attachment-detachment,

But free from the attachment totally.

The attachment implies dependence.

In dependence,

The mind finds great comfort,

A strong sense of stability,

Which is though very transient.

But that extreme stability,

The mind which is conditioned to thoughts,

Brings about the craving.

The mind registers with that experience and creates more.

So the real life is never like that.

The very dependence of the mind on something is very dangerous,

Isn't it?

Everything is changing.

If the mind keeps depending,

The mind is inevitably being hurt all the time.
