So welcome to this meditation for confidence and self-acceptance.
So take a moment to get yourself relaxed,
Find your space,
Get comfortable wherever you are.
Taking a few deep breaths in your own time.
Inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly.
Relaxing your body and calming your mind with each breath.
Every time you take this time out for yourself to meditate,
You are making a statement to yourself,
I matter.
I deserve this time for myself.
We can often feel guilty for our own self-care,
Thinking it's self-indulgent or selfish in some way.
But not only do you deserve to take time out for yourself,
It actually makes you a nicer person and a better person because it helps you to be calmer,
More centered and much more present.
And that means that you are going to show up better in the world.
The calmer and happier version of yourself can make a bigger impact in this world.
Now I want you to bring to mind a recent experience where you felt proud of yourself or you accomplished something.
It might have been a course you completed.
Maybe it was a habit you managed to create.
Or it might have been even a moment when you behaved in the appropriate way.
Try and visualize in detail that moment when you felt proud.
Feel how you felt.
A feeling of confidence.
A feeling of achievement.
Maybe you felt contentment.
Or maybe it came with excitement of what's possible.
And just feel that feeling for a moment.
And if you can't feel it,
Imagine what it would feel like to feel proud of yourself and confident in your abilities.
Now I invite you to imagine yourself standing in front of a mirror.
So just take a minute to observe yourself.
From the top of your head.
Right down your body,
Right down to your feet.
Notice if any judgments or negative self-talk arising.
And just acknowledge your thoughts.
If any emotion comes up,
We will just breathe into that area.
And with each exhale,
We choose to let go.
To let go of the negative thoughts.
To let go of the emotion holding us and keeping us stuck.
Inhaling,
Relaxing your body.
And exhaling,
Choosing to let it go.
You know it's safe,
Safe to let it go.
All that which doesn't serve you.
Breathing in.
And breathing out and letting go.
Now you get to decide to choose again.
With each breath,
I want you to repeat the affirmation to yourself.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am.
Let this affirmation fill your mind and body.
Repeating it silently for as long as it feels right.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am.
Continue to say the words to yourself.
Breathing in,
Softening.
Breathing out,
Relaxing and letting go.
Breathing in.
Breathing out in your own time.
Repeating the affirmation to yourself.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am.
Now I want you to visualize a beautiful,
Bright,
Warm light.
Shining down on your body from above.
This beautiful light is filling you up with warmth and love.
This light represents the unconditional love and acceptance you have for yourself.
Just as you are.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am.
Hear those words repeated.
Repeat them over and over as that light shines down.
It's filling you up from your head right down through your shoulders,
Into your torso,
Your stomach and down into your legs.
And some of the light goes down your arms,
Into your hands.
Keep seeing that light coming down through your head as the words repeat in your head.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am.
Taking another lovely deep breath in.
Come back to the present moment.
Feeling confident,
Grounded and accepting of yourself exactly as you are.
Repeat this meditation as often as you like.
Or you might just want to repeat the affirmation as many times as you can remember during the day.
With this regular practice,
Regular repetition,
You will find that your confidence and self acceptance grow stronger every day.
Take one final deep breath in.
And exhale.
And in your own time,
Because we have time,
You can open your eyes.
