Welcome to this meditation.

Take a moment now to find a comfortable position,

Whether you're sitting or lying down,

And simply allow your body to settle into this space,

Feeling supported and at ease.

Allow your eyes to gently close,

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

And slowly exhale through your mouth.

Let this breath signal to your body that this is a time for rest and renewal.

Notice your breath now,

Without trying to change it.

Simply observe the natural rhythm of your breathing.

Feel your chest and belly rise and fall,

And with each breath,

Allow yourself to arrive more fully in this moment,

Letting go of the day behind you and all of the tasks ahead.

Now,

I invite you to imagine yourself sitting comfortably in a peaceful clearing in the woods.

You're surrounded by tall,

Gentle trees whose branches sway softly overhead.

The only sounds are the sweet songs of birds calling to one another from the treetops,

And the occasional whisper of wind as it moves through the leaves.

It is a perfect summer day.

Above you,

A brilliant blue sky stretches endlessly,

Dotted with white,

Fluffy clouds that drift lazily across your view.

The temperature of the air surrounding you is almost exactly the same as your skin,

Creating a sensation where you can't tell where you end and the air around you begins.

You feel completely at one with this peaceful place.

Sit quietly now,

Drinking in your surroundings.

What do you see in this clearing?

Perhaps there are wildflowers growing nearby,

Delicate purple violets,

Bright yellow buttercups,

Or white daisies swaying ever so gently in the breeze.

Notice how the trees around you move ever so slightly in the wind,

Their leaves creating a soft,

Rustling symphony.

Is there any wildlife keeping you company in the distance?

Maybe a deer grazing peacefully,

Or a butterfly dancing from flower to flower.

Take a moment to fully absorb the beauty and tranquility of this sacred space.

Now you notice the wind has picked up slightly.

You can feel it ruffling your hair,

Bringing with it a slight cooling sensation on your skin.

Looking up,

You see that clouds are beginning to gather and move across the sky,

Slowly turning a bright blue to a soft grey.

And then you feel it,

The first drop of water landing gently on your skin,

Then the second drop.

A gentle rain is beginning to fall,

But even though it's starting to rain,

You feel no desire to move.

The rain feels refreshing and cleansing,

So you simply breathe deeply and allow each drop to land wherever it chooses.

As the rain falls more steadily now,

I want you to imagine that each drop carries with it a special power.

The power to wash away the parts of you that are holding you back from achieving your dreams and living your fullest life.

Perhaps these raindrops are washing away fear,

Doubt,

Regret,

Anxiety,

Feelings of lack or not being enough.

Just imagine that as each drop hits your skin,

It's picking up and carrying away these limiting beliefs that no longer serve you.

Feel the water land on the top of your head,

Cool and refreshing.

Notice how it slides down the back of your neck,

Traveling all the way down your spine,

And finally dripping into the ground beside you.

And with each drop goes a belief,

A worry,

A story that has been keeping you small.

As each drop makes its way down the length of your body,

Carrying with it the weight of what has been keeping you in place,

You feel lighter.

Perhaps you notice yourself sitting taller,

Breathing more deeply.

Your shoulders may drop and soften.

Your chest may expand with newfound space.

Sit here now,

Breathing deeply,

Listening to the gentle sound of the falling rain.

Breathe in the rich,

Earthy scent of the soil around you,

That smell that comes when rain meets earth.

Feel yourself grounding deeply into your root,

Sensing the profound connection between yourself and the earth that holds you here,

In this place.

Watch now as the rain falls heavier,

Beginning to pool around you and the spot where you sit.

Notice how this water slowly begins to be absorbed into the earth,

Sustaining the life force of the plants,

Wildflowers,

And trees around you.

You let go of what holds you back,

And at the same time,

Energy continues to move and transform.

Nothing is wasted.

Everything serves the greater cycle of growth and renewal.

As the rain begins to soften,

And the clouds start to part,

Take a moment to acknowledge what has been released.

Feel the space that has been created,

Space for more capacity,

For growth,

For new opportunities to take root and to flourish.

Place your hand on your heart and offer yourself gratitude for this gift of release and renewal.

You have created space for your dreams to grow.

Now,

When you're ready,

Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,

Take a deep breath in,

And as you exhale,

Slowly bring your attention back to the room around you.

Notice the surface you're sitting or lying on.

Notice the sounds in your environment.

And when you feel ready,

Gently open your eyes and return fully to this moment,

Carrying with you a sense of spaciousness and possibility.

Take your time coming back,

And remember that this clearing in the woods is always available to you whenever you need this sense of cleansing and renewal.
