Take a moment to settle into a comfortable seated position,
With your spine gently upright,
Your hands resting naturally,
And your feet firmly on the floor.
In the ancient language of Sanskrit,
There are two beautiful words that capture the essence of what we're about to do together.
Isha,
Referring to that divine source of life that flows through all things,
And Kriya,
An inner energy process,
A pathway to transformation from within.
The words we'll be using are,
I am not this body,
I am not even this mind.
As we breathe in,
I will say,
I am not this body.
As we breathe out,
I am not even this mind.
You can sit and simply listen,
Allowing these words to wash over you like gentle waves,
Or if you prefer,
You can join in and repeat these words silently to yourself.
When you're ready,
Gently close your eyes.

And just sit here feeling the weight of your body and the chair or the surface that you're sitting on.
Notice the breath travel in and the breath travel out.
And pay attention to any thoughts that surface up in your mind as we slowly start to exit this meditation.

We're not here to judge the thoughts that come forward.
We're simply increasing our awareness.
Whenever you're ready,
You can open your eyes,
Return to the room,
Wiggle your fingers and your toes,
And move on with your day.
