Pachamama Breathes — Gratitude
In the Quechua tradition of the Andes, Pachamama is not a metaphor. She is a living entity that breathes, suffers, and heals. During the ch'alla ritual, Andean people pour a few drops of their drink onto the ground before drinking themselves, returning to the Earth what she has given. This act of reciprocity, forgotten in our modern lives within concrete, is the missing link between the intellectual gratitude we practice and the physiological grounding our bodies seek. This 2-minute practice, accompanied by an Andean pan flute and gentle rain sounds, guides an exchange breath with the ground — receive, then return — to step out of isolation and rediscover the feeling of belonging to something greater. Accessible standing, sitting, or walking.
