Welcome,
This moment is just for you,
A place of stillness,
Where the noise and the outside world gently fades,
And the breath becomes your guide.
If you're feeling anxious,
Overwhelmed or lost in a storm of emotion,
Know this,
Even the most consuming fires eventually soften,
And from their ashes,
Something new always begins to grow.
I invite you now to exhale fully,
Inhale through the nose,
1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale through the mouth,
1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
Inhale,
1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale,
1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
Inhale,
1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale,
1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
Now you continue that breath pattern,
Using your mind's eye to count,
And just let each breath slow you down,
Each exhale soften what's being held too tightly,
There's nothing you need to be doing right now,
Except breathe,
You are safe,
You are supported,
You are not alone.
As you continue to breathe,
In your mind's eye,
Imagine a quiet forest,
Still,
Alive,
Breathing with life.
The air is cool,
Scented with bark and wild eucalyptus leaves,
Birds call softly in the distance,
And the sun glows through the canopy like a golden mist.
Let your imagination explore this space,
Notice the soft moss beneath your feet,
The dappled light,
The gentle rustle of branches above.
Let it be vivid,
Let it be real,
And now become the tree,
A tall eucalyptus tree stands in the heart of this forest,
Strong,
Rooted,
Timeless,
That tree is you.
Feel your roots reaching deep into the earth,
Your breath is the wind through your branches,
You sway gently with the rhythm of nature,
With each breath,
Feel your connection to this living,
Breathing world.
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
And as you begin to sway gently in the breeze,
Steady,
And tall,
You might notice the whisper carried by the wind,
Words spoken softly by the forest itself,
And you ask,
What if I fall?
Oh,
But my darling,
What if you fly?
Let that idea root itself in you,
This isn't just stillness,
It's potential,
Possibility,
The quiet before you rise.
As you stand tall in the forest,
A subtle shift begins,
The light dims,
A hush falls over the trees,
A flicker of unease rises within you,
A tightness in the chest,
The calm begins to tremble.
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
Even here,
As something stirs,
The breath stays,
Your roots remain,
The forest breathes with you.
Let yourself notice this feeling,
Not pushing it away,
Just feel it,
Where does it live in your body,
What color is it,
Is it sharp or dull,
Cold or hot?
Stay curious,
Not fearful,
As you explore your feelings,
Knowing that your breath is rooting you,
Calming you,
Soothing you.
Then,
A crack of lightning splits the sky,
A bolt striking the earth not far from where you stand,
Flames quickly rise,
The fire moves fast,
Like panic,
Unexpected,
Overwhelming,
Wild,
You feel the heat,
You hear the roar,
You feel and sense the chaos.
This is what anxiety can feel like,
Not weakness,
Not failure,
But fire,
Powerful,
Consuming,
Uninvited.
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
Let the breath become your anchor,
Like the stream flowing beneath the flames,
Steady,
Sure,
Untouched,
Even now in this fire,
Your roots remain,
You are still,
You may not control the fire,
But you can learn to stand in the flames.
Eventually,
The flames begin to fade,
There's nothing left to burn,
And the fire passes on,
Smoke rises into the sky,
The forest lies scorched,
Still,
Quiet.
There is a weight here,
A hollow calm,
It may feel like sadness or stillness,
But within it lies the truth,
This is the moment before new life begins.
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
Breathe into the space left behind,
Let your body feel what it needs to feel,
The emptiness,
The stillness,
The after.
There's no rush,
No need to fix or change,
This is a sacred pause.
Then,
Almost silently,
Something shifts,
A green shoot breaks through the blackened earth,
Soft,
Small,
Bright with promise,
The eucalyptus is you,
Not despite the fire,
But because of it.
This forest is meant to burn,
It knows how to heal,
And so do you.
The human spirit is forged in fire,
Not in comfort,
But in challenge.
In the heat,
The pressure,
The moments you thought would break you,
But no,
They make you grow.
You are not what you've lost,
You are what you're growing to become.
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
With each breath,
Something new awakens inside you,
Strength,
Wisdom,
Resilience.
Sometimes,
When you are in a dark place,
You think you've been buried,
But really,
You've been planted.
Now,
Feel yourself as the tree once more,
Rooted,
Renewed,
Stronger than before.
Your branches stretch up again,
Leaves unfurl,
Sunlight kisses your bark,
You are alive,
Becoming,
Rising.
Around you,
The forest stirs with new life,
Greens emerge through ash,
Birdsong returns,
The breath of the earth moves once again.
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6.
You're not what the fire tried to take,
You're what the fire revealed.
Some fires are not meant to destroy you,
They're meant to ignite what's been waiting to rise.
As this meditation draws to a close,
Pause to honour yourself.
You walked through the flames,
You breathed through the fear,
And you allowed something new to begin.
Whether you're stepping into your new day,
Or gently returning to the rest of it,
Carry this truth with you.
You are growing,
You are rooted in resilience,
You are rising.
Remember,
You have already walked through fire,
You have already risen from the ashes,
And you are still here,
Growing,
Rooted,
Becoming more powerful in your softness,
But more whole every time you heal,
And more you are becoming you.
Now breathe in strength,
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
And breathe out doubt,
Exhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6.
Now walk forward,
Not in fear of the flames,
But with the quiet knowing that whatever comes,
You will rise again.
Thank you for being here,
May your next steps be taken with strength and with softness.
Namaste.
