Good morning.
I'm Chris McDonald,
And I'm so glad you're here with me today.
We are waking up with gratitude.
Begin by creating a little energy in your body.
Bring your palms together and rub your hands vigorously.
Feel the warmth.
Once they're warmed up.
Place them anywhere in your body that could use a little love today.
Breathe.
Give gratitude for that place,
Wherever it is.
An example,
If it's your back.
Maybe you give gratitude for the support it gives you.
Or your shoulder,
It helps you to lift things.
One more time,
Bring the palms together,
Rubbing them vigorously.
Bring that warmth and kindness to another part of you that may be tense or in pain.
And breathe.
Give gratitude for that place.
Breathe.
Now,
Let's gently stretch to wake up the body and wake up the mind.
Inhale,
Gently lift the arms towards the sky,
Reaching as far as you can.
Pause.
Exhale,
Allow the arms to come back down to your sides.
One more time.
Inhale.
Gently lift the arms towards the sky.
Exhale,
Allow your arms to slowly come down.
Give yourself this time this morning to fully connect and be present.
Taking this time for gratitude.
Allow your hands to rest on your knees,
Palms facing up.
Be open and ready to receive.
The abundance of this day.
You're welcome to feel free to close your eyes.
Or just soften your gaze.
As you settle into this moment,
Allow the fog of the early morning.
To gradually lift up.
And allow my words to be with you.
To guide you.
With each breath.
In every word.
Your mind.
And your body.
Grow more wings.
More alive.
More present.
And more.
Fully arrived here.
Beginning your day with gratitude.
Brings an attitude of abundance.
That flows through your entire day.
Let yourself fully connect within.
Allow three things to connect you that you feel gratitude for.
They could be anything.
Maybe you're a good friend.
A pet.
The house you live in.
The job you have.
Even your breath.
Allow them to form in your mind.
Take a moment and sit with them.
Place one hand on your heart.
Savor each one.
Hold them close.
What are you most grateful for about each one of these?
As you hold your hand on your heart.
Feel the warmth.
So imagine a soft,
Radiant,
Golden glow.
Arriving from your hands,
Into your heart.
Expanding through your core,
Your shoulders.
Up through your neck and head.
Down through your arms and hands.
All the way through your hips.
Down your legs.
All the way to your feet.
Feeling.
This deep,
Radiant warmth.
Is wonderful.
Energy of gratitude.
As you continue to sit with this.
You're feeling more.
And more of the gratitude deepening.
With each breath.
Whenever you're ready to come back.
Blink your eyes open.
Take a look around your space.
Feeling more alert?
Refreshed.
Your heart open and ready to accept the new day.
Ready to begin with new energy.
Give yourself one more big stretch.
Give yourself.
This day.
Come fully into your body and your mind.
Thank you for practicing gratitude with me today.
If you like this meditation,
Remember to save it.
So you can continue this practice each and every morning.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
