A Mother's Love

A message for our son, who stepped into the fire as a wildland firefighter.
In his first season, we did not yet understand the health and safety concerns. Black smoke, intense heat, lack of sleep, working very long days and the worries for his safety. As parents, we never truly know where our children’s paths will lead or what callings they will choose to follow. All I can do is hold him in my heart, surround him with prayer, and meet him with openness and honesty whenever the moment allows.
