Take a deep and nurturing journey inward with this gentle, Yoga Nidra–inspired meditation that honors your body, breath, and being. Using soft body squeezes, breath awareness, and a gratitude-based body scan, this practice invites you to release tension, return to presence, and reflect the love you so freely give to others… back to yourself. You’ll be guided into a state of restful awareness, where healing begins with kindness, and embodiment becomes sacred. Perfect for evening unwinding, self-love rituals, or anytime you need to reconnect with your body as your home. Affirmation from this practice: “I receive the love I so freely give to others. I am grateful for all that I am — seen and unseen.”

Make yourself comfortable now.

Begin by sitting or lying in a space where you feel safe,

Warm and supported.

Gently close your eyes.

Feel your breath arrive,

Soft and steady.

Inhale and exhale.

Let go of doing.

You are simply here now.

Let your breath move like a tide,

Gentle and rhythmic.

Inhaling,

Rise.

Exhaling,

Soften.

As you begin to settle,

Bring to mind this gentle truth.

We are so good at offering love and compliments to others.

Complimenting their beauty,

Their strength,

Their light.

And now,

Let this be a sacred return inwards.

Let your love and your gratitude pour back into yourself.

You deserve your own kindness,

Your own praise,

Your own tenderness.

Join me now on a beautiful awareness,

Release and deep relaxation of your incredible body.

Bring your awareness all the way down to your feet and your toes.

Wiggle the toes,

Make space between them.

And as you inhale,

Gently squeeze the muscles in your feet and hold.

And as you exhale,

Release all tension from your feet.

Release all tension from your toes and send gratitude and a thank you to your feet for grounding you,

For connecting you to the earth.

Bring your awareness to your legs.

As you inhale,

Gently squeeze the knees,

The thighs and hold.

And as you exhale,

Soften.

And love and gratitude and thank you to your legs for carrying you forward,

For moving you around from place to place.

Thank you.

Now bring your awareness to the hips and the pelvis and the glutes.

And as you inhale,

Squeeze those buttocks tight.

The hips will feel like they're rising,

Hold.

And as you exhale,

Softly release.

Love and gratitude and thank you to the hips for the movement and the stability of your body and for holding strength.

Thank you.

Bring your awareness to your belly.

Inhale,

Hugging the core in gently and hold.

And as you exhale,

Let it all go.

Thank you and gratitude and love to your belly for digesting both food and emotions,

For we feel so much here.

Thank you.

Now,

Bring the awareness to your shoulders and your arms and your hands.

And as you inhale,

Tense,

Squeeze and hold.

And as you exhale,

Melt the shoulders,

The arms and the hands and release all tension.

Thanking your arms and your hands for the holding,

The creating and the expressing.

Bring your awareness into your face.

And as you inhale,

Gently squeeze your eyes and bite your teeth,

Scrunch your face up softly and hold.

And as you exhale,

Relax your face completely,

Wiggling your eyebrows,

Relaxing your jaw.

And thank you and gratitude to your eyes,

Your nose,

Your ears,

Your mouth for expressing and witnessing the beauty of this world.

Bring your awareness back to your breath and taking a deep inhale,

Feeling the lungs expand as much as they can and hold.

And as you exhale,

Let the lungs soften and thank you and love and gratitude to your lungs for giving you breath,

For life,

For presence.

Bring your awareness to your mind now,

That incredible brain that's constantly working for you and give love and gratitude and thanks to the learning,

The imagining and the dreaming.

And love and gratitude to your soul for showing up again and again.

Every cell of your being is worthy of love and every breath is a blessing.

Take a full inhale and squeeze your entire body,

Holding and holding and holding.

And let any remaining tension completely dissolve.

Let yourself receive your own affection and love the way you so easily offer it to others.

You are not just enough,

You are extraordinary.

Now imagine golden light pouring down through your body,

Starting at the crown of your head,

Washing down through your heart,

Your belly,

Your legs,

All the way to your toes.

This light is love,

This light is gratitude,

This light is you.

Let yourself rest in this glow of compassion and repeat these words.

The words may resonate to say outside of the body,

You may want to repeat them internally.

I honour my body as my sacred home.

I receive the love I so freely give to others.

I am grateful for all that I am,

Seen and unseen.

I am whole,

I am radiant,

I am deeply loved.

You are here,

You are whole,

You are a miracle.

Take a deep inhalation and a gentle exhalation and bring your hands to your heart,

Taking a moment of stillness.

Feel the warmth in your palms and the aliveness of your being.

You are magnificent,

You are incredible.

Thank you for sharing these moments with me.

Namaste.
