Welcome to this forgiveness meditation.
Forgiveness is what sets us free.
It's not about giving that freedom to anybody else.
It's about giving yourself the gift.
It's about reclaiming your power.
Because what we judge in others,
We judge in ourselves.
And today I'm going to be using the ancient Hawaiian practice of Ho'oponopono throughout this meditation to help you in your forgiveness journey.
So when you're ready,
Get comfy,
Either sitting or laying down,
And I'll invite you to close your eyes and take three deep breaths.
In through your nose,
Out through your mouth.
In through your nose,
Out through your mouth.
In through your nose,
Out through your mouth.
Visualize yourself walking through a meadow.
The temperature's perfect,
The skies are blue,
There's nobody around,
But yet you feel so safe.
Ahead in the distance,
You notice a bench.
So you decide to take a rest and sit on the bench.
As you do so,
Thoughts of people and situations you've encountered over the last few days start to approach your mind.
You know that certain people or situations are ready to come forward for forgiveness.
So right now we're going to invite one of those people or situations to come forward.
As they approach you,
Start to notice anything about them.
They may be slightly different because you're meeting them at a soul level.
So they may be acting differently,
You may be able to see them with compassion,
But it's okay if you don't.
As you look down,
You notice a cord,
Almost like a rope,
Going from your heart to theirs.
And you're ready to release this cord.
As I say these words,
I'd like you to repeat them in your mind.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
We're now going to invite Archangel Michael to come along and cut this cord.
And as he does so,
You notice the cord dissolve into the earth.
And with this,
So too does the person that's standing in front of you.
You may be feeling somewhat lighter now.
But we're now going to invite another person to step forward,
And this time we're going to invite a former version of you that may be a much younger self or maybe the version of you from five minutes ago.
Allow the version of you to step forward.
This time when you look down,
You notice the cord is attached to your sacral chakra.
This is about two inches below your belly button.
And it's where we store our guilt and our shame.
And today you're ready to release that.
Today you are gifting yourself forgiveness.
So again,
As I say these words,
Repeat them in your mind.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
And again,
Archangel Michael is going to clip the cord between you and that former version of you.
And again,
You notice the cord dissolve into the earth.
And with that,
The former version of you disappears.
Archangel Michael is now going to bring white healing light down through the top of your head,
Through your mind to clear out any negative thoughts that may be coming through.
Down through your torso,
Into your heart so that you can show yourself love and compassion throughout the day,
Through your stomach,
Into your sacral chakra,
Where we clear out any more guilt and shame that's ready to be released.
Down through your root chakra,
Through your legs,
And he wraps a bubble of protection around you.
And when you're ready,
You can begin to wiggle your fingers and toes and open your eyes.
I hope that you're feeling much lighter after this meditation.
You can show up and repeat this meditation as many times as you need when you're looking to forgive different people and different situations.
And I'd also recommend you journal out any feelings that's coming up for you.
I hope you can show yourself kindness and compassion throughout the day.
And you should be so proud of yourself for showing up to grant yourself this forgiveness.
