This meditation focuses on helping you to sleep in whatever position you are in.
Whether you are seated on a train or a plane or you are laying down in the comfort of your own bed.
This will be a friend and support to your sleep.
Closing down your eyes.
Relaxing your eyes from the world of looking and seeing.
And gently kiss your eyelids closed.
We sink into the body fully.
Noticing the senses.
The taste in your mouth.
The aroma and the air inside your nostrils.
As I say the words feet and toes.
You can imagine that your feet and toes are getting heavy and falling asleep.
Notice the change in sensation.
As you allow your feet and toes to fall asleep.
Moving that falling asleep sensation into your calves.
The calf muscles,
The shin bones,
The knees,
The thighs are heavy.
Falling asleep.
Your legs are heavy here.
And sleeping deeply.
Noticing your stomach.
The mental movement of your stomach as you breathe.
And as you know the movement continues your stomach is falling asleep.
The ribs.
Your spine.
Feeling the back soften and sink.
The muscles in your back are switching off and falling asleep.
You're feeling warm and comfortable.
You're safe and secure.
Your hands,
Fingers are falling asleep.
Your arms,
Forearms and elbows are falling asleep.
Your upper arms,
Shoulders are falling asleep.
You are comfortable resting heavy here letting your body release.
Allowing your breath to drop deep into your lungs.
Just taking a very deep inhale.
And then a slow exhale.
This beautiful feeling that there's nothing for you to do.
Nothing for you to do except listen to the sound of my voice.
Allowing your body to sink and release all tension.
The sound of my voice that's helping you drift deeper and deeper asleep.
Deeper and deeper asleep.
Your neck is falling asleep.
Your jaw,
Mouth and tongue.
Comfortable.
Asleep.
Your cheeks.
Your forehead.
Your brow relaxed.
Asleep.
Your heart slowing it down.
Relax.
Asleep.
Resting now.
Relax.
Relax.
