This meditation is going to be a practice that focuses on your inner source of resilience.
It can be useful when feeling despondent,
Overwhelmed or stuck in a place of muddy fear.
This practice is a way to restore balance and harmony by offering a way for us to cultivate resilience.
A wise council once told me to use adversity as a gift,
So not to recycle pain,
But deepen our connection with ourselves and learn or grow from these gifts that the universe sends.
This is how we cultivate resilience,
We walk towards the ache of painful situations to invite the healing power of our mind,
Heart and spirit.
Begin by sitting in a posture that is upright,
Creating a strong spine and inner confidence,
While at the same time stepping into the softest,
Most loving part of your being.
Breathing deeply into your body,
Sending the breath down through your toes and out through your fingers and upward through the crown of your head into the sky.
Taking a deep breath and moving it through your entire body.
Say yes to growing your body on the inhale,
Say yes to the walls falling away on the exhale.
As you breathe,
Be aware of your sit bones and where they are touching the ground or your chair.
Be aware of your feet,
Where they are making contact with the floor,
The soft skin of the inner archips,
The sensations of your body,
The hands resting here on your lap,
Awareness of your fingertips,
The palms,
The points of contact of your whole body.
There are times when we experience challenges,
Setbacks or constant change.
Take a moment now to look within yourself for anything you wish to soothe,
Comfort the uncomfortable and breathe with me.
Take three slow deep breaths,
A little slower and a little deeper than we might otherwise take.
Inbreath,
Outbreath,
Inbreath,
Outbreath,
Inbreath.
Out breath.
In breath.
Out breath.
Sit in this space and allow yourself to hear.
Let love pour into you.
Out breath.
In breath.
Out breath.
In breath.
Out breath.
Love is innate to us.
If we become soft,
We can be free.
Love is innate to us.
If we become soft,
When things seem hard,
We unearth hope within ourselves.
Accept the invitation to your growth by stepping into this space.
Take another three slow deep breaths.
In breath,
I'm aware of the inhale.
Out breath,
I'm aware of the exhale.
In breath,
I'm aware of the inhale.
Out breath,
I'm aware of the exhale.
In breath,
I'm aware of the inhale.
Out breath,
I'm aware of the exhale.
Out breath.
Just allowing your body to breathe,
Resting here in this space,
Bringing some gentle movement back into the body,
Taking a beautiful stretch.
Bring your awareness into your feet,
Your hands,
Your heart.
Taking a deep breath,
Taking a beautiful stretch.
Thank you for taking the time to cultivate resilience and choosing to lead with a curious mind,
Sending gratitude to each and every one of you today.
Namaste.
Thank you.
