Hello and welcome to a grounding and centering meditation.
This practice is designed to help you connect with the earth,
Stabilize your energy,
And bring yourself fully into the present moment.
Find a quiet place where you can sit or lie down comfortably,
Free of distractions,
Make sure you're not operating any machinery,
And make sure you are by yourself.
Close your eyes,
Take a deep breath in,
And exhale.
Let's begin.
Take a deep inhale through your nose,
Feeling your chest and belly rise.
Hold for a moment,
And exhale slowly through your mouth,
Releasing any tension.
Repeat this a few times,
Allowing your breath to become steady and natural.
With each exhale,
Imagine letting go of any stress,
Worry,
Or just anything that no longer serves you.
Feel your body begin to relax,
Your mind becoming calm,
And your heart opening.
Now,
Bring your awareness to the points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you.
Feel the support of the chair,
Cushion,
Or floor holding you.
Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet,
Or from the base of your spine,
If you're seated.
These roots are strong,
Thick,
And vibrant,
Reaching deep into the earth.
With each breath,
See them extending further,
Moving through layers of soil,
Rock,
And minerals,
Until they reach the earth's core.
At the core,
Visualize a glowing,
Warm energy,
Steady,
Grounding,
And nurturing.
Allow your roots to wrap around this energy,
Drawing it upward.
Feel the earth's grounding energy flowing back through your roots,
Into your feet,
And spreading throughout your body.
As the grounding energy fills you,
Imagine it anchoring you in the present moment.
Feel its warmth in your legs,
Its strength in your spine,
And its calm in your chest.
With every inhale,
You draw more stability.
And with every exhale,
You release any remaining tension or negativity.
Repeat silently to yourself,
I am grounded,
I am safe,
I am here.
Now,
Gently expand your awareness to your surroundings.
Feel the air on your skin,
The sounds around you,
And the space you occupy.
Know that you are a part of this earth,
Deeply connected and supported.
Take a moment to thank yourself for showing up for this practice.
Feel gratitude for the earth beneath you.
Always steady and unwavering.
When you're ready,
Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Bringing small movements back into your body.
Take one final deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Open your eyes.
Welcome back to the present moment,
Grounded,
Calm,
And centered.
