In this practice,
You will be gently guided to let go of the stress and pressure you may be feeling,
Reconnecting with the peaceful,
Centered part of yourself that is always present.
Please take a few moments to settle into a comfortable position,
Whether seated or laying down.
Allow yourself to relax,
Knowing that this time is for you.
It is a gift of peace and restoration.
Begin by taking a deep breath,
And as you exhale,
Release any tension or tightness in your body.
Inhale deeply,
Filling your lungs completely,
And exhale slowly,
Feeling your body begin to relax.
With each breath,
Feel yourself sinking deeper and deeper into relaxation.
Imagine that with every exhale,
You are releasing any worries,
Any stress,
Or any burdens you may be carrying.
Let them dissolve into thin air,
Leaving your body lighter and more at ease.
As you continue to breathe,
Bring your awareness to your feet,
Feeling them grounded to the earth.
Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet,
Extending deep into the ground,
Anchoring you,
And providing stability.
Feel the connection to the earth,
Drawing up its calm,
Steady energy into your body.
In this sacred space,
We call upon the guardians of peace and serenity to surround you with their calming presence.
May they guide you on this journey,
Helping you find the stillness and clarity within.
I invite the presence of your spirit guides,
Your higher self,
And the loving energy of the universe to be with you.
Let their light fill this space,
Providing comfort,
Protection,
And love.
May this light dissolve all feelings of overwhelm,
Replacing them with a deep sense of peace.
Continue to breathe deeply,
Allowing each breath to take you further into relaxation.
As you do,
Bring your awareness to the space at the center of your chest,
Your heart space.
Imagine a soft,
Warm light glowing in your heart space,
Radiating a gentle,
Soothing energy.
This light represents your inner peace,
The part of you that is always calm and balanced,
No matter what is happening around you.
With each breath,
See this light growing brighter,
Expanding outward.
Feel it filling your chest,
Your abdomen,
Your entire body.
This light flows through you,
Bringing a sense of calm and tranquility to every part of your being.
Now imagine that you are standing at the edge of a lake.
The water is still,
Reflecting the clear blue sky above.
The sun is shining warmly on your face,
And a gentle breeze carries the scent of fresh grass and wildflowers.
Ahead of you,
A path leads around the lake,
And you begin to walk along it.
As you walk,
You notice a small bench overlooking the water.
You feel drawn to this bench,
Knowing that it is a place of peace and reflection.
Sit down on the bench,
Feeling the solid wood beneath you,
The ground stable under your feet.
Take a moment to simply be,
Listening to the gentle lapping of the water,
The rustling of the leaves in the trees,
And the birds singing softly in the distance.
As you sit here,
Bring to mind some of the things that have been causing you to feel overwhelmed.
Perhaps it's the demands of work,
Constant emails,
Deadlines,
And projects that never seem to end.
Maybe it's the responsibilities of family life,
Caring for children,
Supporting loved ones,
Or managing household tasks.
It could be the daily pressures of balancing everything,
The endless to-do lists,
Or the expectations you place on yourself to be perfect.
Perhaps you're feeling the pressures from school,
Struggling to keep up with assignments,
Or navigating your path to finding yourself.
Maybe you're feeling lost,
Unsure of what you're meant to be doing right now,
Seeking clarity and purpose.
Allow these thoughts to come into your awareness without judgment.
Simply acknowledge them,
Like clouds passing in the sky.
You are safe here,
And it's okay to recognize these sources of stress.
Feel into the weight of these responsibilities.
Notice any tightness in your chest or shoulders.
Any tension in your back or neck.
Acknowledge the emotions that come up,
Whether it's frustration,
Exhaustion,
Anxiety,
Or just the sense of being spread too thin.
Now,
Take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Imagine all these sources of overwhelm as dark clouds gathered around you.
See them clearly.
Feel their weight.
And then watch as a gentle breeze begins to blow.
This breeze is the breath of life,
Filled with the energy of the earth and the universe.
It gently but powerfully begins to disperse the dark clouds,
Blowing them away from you,
Over the surface of the lake,
And into the sky where they dissolve into nothingness.
As each cloud is blown away,
Feel the weight lifting from your body,
From your headspace.
Feel the tension in your shoulders ease.
The tightness in your chest releasing.
With each breath,
More clouds are dispersed.
More of the burden is lifted.
Say to yourself,
Either out loud or in your mind,
I release all that no longer serves me.
I let go of overwhelm and embrace peace.
This is all happening for me.
I am safe.
I am calm.
I am supported.
With each cloud that is dispersed,
Notice how your body feels lighter,
Your mind clearer.
The lake before you is calm,
Reflecting the peace that is now within you.
Take a moment to sit with this feeling of lightness,
Of relief.
Now imagine that the gentle breeze carries with it a golden light.
This light is warm,
Soothing,
And filled with healing energy.
It flows around you,
And then through you,
Filling the spaces where the clouds of overwhelm once were.
Feel this golden light filling your heart,
Your mind,
Your entire being.
It brings a sense of balance and tranquility.
It is a reminder that you have everything you need within you to find peace,
Even in the midst of a busy life.
Allow this light to fill every cell in your body,
Restoring your energy,
Renewing your spirit.
You are being replenished,
Nourished by this sacred light.
Feel the love and support of the universe flowing through you.
Know that you are never alone.
You are always surrounded by love and light,
And you have the power to return to this place of peace whenever you need.
When you are ready,
Begin to bring your awareness back to your breath.
Feel the air entering and leaving your body.
Feel the solid ground beneath your feet,
The bench supporting you,
Coming back into your body.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Bringing your awareness fully back to the present moment.
Take a few moments to notice how you feel.
Notice the lightness in your body and the calm in your mind.
Carry this sense of peace with you as you move throughout your day.
Whenever you begin to feel overwhelmed,
Remember the lake,
Remember the bench,
And the golden light.
Take a deep breath in,
Exhale,
And know that you can return to this place of calm anytime you want to need.
As you go about your day,
Allow yourself to move with ease and give yourself grace.
Trust that you have the inner strength to handle whatever comes your way.
You are calm.
You are centered.
You are at peace.
