The holiday season can bring up a mix of emotions; grief, overwhelm, loneliness, pressure, or the weight of expectations. This meditation offers a safe space to pause, soften, and come back to yourself. Through gentle guidance, breath, and grounded presence, you’ll be invited to release what feels heavy and reconnect with a sense of calm and emotional steadiness. Let this be your moment to be held, exactly as you are. You’re not alone in what you’re feeling, and you don’t have to carry it all.

Welcome love.

If this time of year feels heavy,

Overwhelming,

Or emotionally tender for you,

You are not alone.

This meditation is a soft place to land,

A moment to step away from the pressure,

The noise,

The expectations,

And return to yourself.

Here,

You don't have to pretend,

You don't have to perform,

You can simply be.

Let this be your moment to breathe,

To feel,

To be held.

You're safe here.

When you're ready,

Gently close your eyes and begin to settle into your body.

Take a slow,

Steady breath in through your nose,

Hold gently at the top,

And exhale softly through your mouth.

Again,

Inhale into the chest,

Hold,

And exhale,

Push it all out of your belly.

Let your shoulders drop,

Let your jaw soften,

Round out the shoulders,

Let the muscles around your heart release,

Even if just a little.

With each breath,

Let yourself arrive more fully into this moment,

Into the stillness,

Into the quiet,

Into that peace.

There's nothing expected of you here.

No roles to play,

No masks to wear,

No coping mechanisms.

Take a moment now to notice what's alive within you.

Is it sadness?

Grief?

Loneliness?

Stress?

Nostalgia?

Longing?

Whatever it is,

You don't need to fix it.

You're allowed to feel exactly as you feel.

Say to yourself,

I honor where I am.

I give myself permission to feel.

Here and in this space,

You don't have to explain to anyone.

This is your inner world,

This is your truth.

Breathe into it,

And let your breath gently hold whatever you're carrying.

Now begin to notice the expectations you may be holding from others,

From society,

Or even from yourself.

Maybe it's the pressure to feel festive,

To be okay,

To show up a certain way,

To make others comfortable,

Even if you're hurting.

Gently imagine all those expectations gathering in your hands,

Heavy,

Dense,

Like old holiday ornaments you no longer need to carry.

And now with your breath,

Imagine letting them go.

Let them fall away.

Set them down.

Return them to the earth.

Say to yourself that you do not need to carry what is not yours.

Affirm with me,

I do not need to carry what is not mine.

I am allowed to show up exactly as I am.

Now visualize a soft,

Warm light around you.

This light may feel like divine love,

The presence of someone you miss,

Or simply the quiet comfort of being held by the universe.

Let it wrap around your shoulders like a blanket.

Let it move into your chest,

Your heart,

And your belly.

Let it soften the sharp edges within you.

You're not alone as you feel.

There is support around you,

Seen and unseen.

Allow this light to remind you that you are allowed to rest.

You're allowed to take up space in your truth.

You're allowed to heal in your own time and in your own way.

Let yourself rest now.

By not doing,

Not fixing,

Just being.

Let your breath be gentle.

Let your presence be enough.

If memories come,

Let them come.

If tears rise,

Let them rise.

If nothing comes at all,

Let that be okay too.

There's no right way to feel,

Only the real way.

So stay in this stillness for as long as you need.

When you're ready,

As you begin to return to the rhythm of your breath,

Bring one hand to your heart.

Feel its beat,

Feel the warmth.

You are here,

You are whole,

And you are held.

Carry this with you through the season and let your softness be your strength.

Let your truth be enough.

Let your breath guide you back.

Back into your body,

Back into the present.

With more presence,

More truth,

More peace.

This energy that you've just created is still with you,

So anchor into it as you go on throughout your day.

And from my heart to yours,

Thank you for showing up for yourself today.
