One way to think about taking authentic action in life.
Is to Consider it as like you're throwing a log into the fire.
To throw a log into the fire is to allow the log essentially to become something different.
And to be destroyed in a way,
But ultimately transformed.
And that transformation is out of your control.
There are ways in which we might hold on to the log and hold on to it very tightly and wonder why it's not building the fire.
But if you feel into it in this way,
It's like whatever the action might be,
Maybe it's in a relationship and something that you say or express vulnerably.
Or maybe it's in your work,
A certain risk that you take to express something and share it with the world.
To feel it as if you are taking a log that is yours.
Ultimately,
It's not yours either.
It's just it comes from the world.
It comes from nature including your thoughts and your intuitions But you're taking the log and then you're willingly throwing it into the fire and it requires your willingness to really let it go and Allow it to become something new and that is what builds the fire the fire whatever the fire might mean for you So visuals for me are a helpful way of considering these sort of things,
Like taking authentic action.
I could stay in the head and consider it intellectually,
Come up with analyses and structures for taking authentic action in life.
But to have a visual like this can help you just kind of feel it.
To feel the way in which you might be gripping on to the log,
Whatever that might be.
Maybe there's a fear that it won't burn.
Maybe there's a fear that it'll burn too much.
Maybe there's a desire to hold on to it and keep it yours.
But if you do want the fire to grow,
Then you must be willing to throw the log.
Into the fire.
