Now here's a helpful technique.
For letting go when it is particularly difficult to let go.
You might find yourself attempting to let go of tension and stress.
But you just can't,
So it maybe makes it even more stressful or more frustrating.
So in this practice,
We will actually intentionally tighten everything first.
And sometimes the contrast can allow you to release a little bit more deeply.
So we'll tighten on the inhale and then we'll release on the exhale.
We'll do it a few times.
So here's the first time.
On the next inhale,
Breathing in.
And tightening everything up,
All the muscles of the body.
The face.
Everything you can tighten.
Tighten as hard as you can and then.
Breathing out.
And releasing.
You just do it one more time.
On the next inhale,
Breathing in and tightening,
Tightening.
Tightening everything you can as hard as you can,
Even being weird and silly.
If you want to.
And then releasing.
A little more deeply on the exhale.
Sometimes that helps me.
Just even feels kind of nice.
