Welcome.

This meditation will use the sounds and senses of the ocean to help you relax and set you up to fall asleep.

Lie down with the support of a few pillows around you.

Adjust blankets to make yourself warmer or cooler.

Move a bit,

Wiggle your body.

And then when you're ready,

Close the eyes and settle into stillness.

You are completely motionless,

Except for the movement of breath traveling up and down the center channel of your body.

Listen.

Take in the hum of waves splashing on the shore.

Imagine a warm ocean breeze sweeping gently over your body.

Feel the sensation of soft sand on the backs of your hands.

Now imagine that you're floating on the water.

Your body is weightless like a feather.

The movement of the ocean rocks you lightly,

Rhythmic and calming.

Now listen on the inside with your internal awareness.

Listen to the sound of the breath.

Feel the breath lift and lower you gently,

Effortlessly,

Without conscious intention.

Imagine the breath is a wave gliding you up and down,

Lulling your body into a state of relaxation.
