Hi,

This is Katie.

Welcome to 5 mindful minutes.

So lie down and get comfortable.

You can have a support for your neck and head and you can also place something over your eyelids just to allow your eyes to relax more.

Being mindful is when you are choosing what to focus on.

Notice what you can smell.

Notice what you can hear.

Perhaps inside the space or room you're in and maybe beyond that space.

Notice if you're making any sounds.

Notice what you can taste.

You can always separate your lips and taste the air in the space you're in.

Notice what you can feel on your skin.

So it could be the air,

It could be the clothes,

The ground you're on,

Maybe your hair on your body.

Notice the texture and the temperature.

Notice what you can feel inside your body.

Perhaps the cool air as you're breathing in.

Perhaps the warmth of the air as you exhale.

Notice any other sensations in your body.

Perhaps you can feel movement in your body or your heartbeat.

Keeping your eyes closed,

Have a sense of the space around you.

Have a sense of what's around you.

360 degrees,

Maybe the ceiling above you,

The sky,

The objects in the room,

Which perhaps you have an imprint of a memory of.

Notice how it feels to be you in the space,

In the room you're in.

So in each space that you're in,

There can be an emotional experience or a specific sense of you being you.

Notice where there's some ease in your body,

In your experience right now.

Notice what feels good.

It could be a temperature in the palm.

It could be just lying down.

Keeping your eyes closed,

Notice what you can see.

So if you move your eyes closed,

You still have vision.

So maybe you see colors,

Maybe you see lights,

Movement.

And then when you're ready,

Slowly open the eyelids and come back into the space that you're in visually.

Wishing you a great day ahead.

See you soon.

Bye for now.
