Wherever you're coming to this meditation from today,
Allow this to be the pause to reset.
Find a comfortable place where you can rest and just be for this next while.
Rest with a long spine,
An expansive spine,
And allow your gaze to drop downward,
Either partially or fully closing your eyes.
Whatever feels most authentic on this day,
Begin to get a sense for your body today.
Get a sense for maybe connecting with it in a way that you haven't,
Noticing your physical self from the inside out.
That might start with the breath,
Noticing the breath as it enters and leaves your nose,
Tracing its pathway.
And that awareness might deepen into the rest of your body.
When we get busy during the day doing and going about our regular daily activities,
It's so easy to disconnect from ourselves,
To disconnect from the body,
To disconnect from sensation.
And often that shows up with gripping,
Holding on,
Or tensing.
And so just in this time right now,
I want to invite you to soften,
To see if you can connect with your body in a different way,
Maybe even from the inside out,
Noticing the sensations under the surface.
Notice your legs physically as they begin to relax.
Notice your shoulders as they soften.
Maybe your body begins to feel heavy.
Then bring your awareness to your feet.
Notice the sensation in your feet.
Wherever they land,
Touching whatever surface they're resting on,
Notice on the inside what the soles of your feet feel like.
You might notice a warmth or a tingling.
You might notice spaciousness or an open feeling.
Whatever it is,
It's exactly right for you on this day.
Then begin to notice your legs from the inside out,
Imagining and envisioning that connection of your muscles with the rest of the tissues.
And perhaps feeling the weight of your bones just become heavy and soften.
Then bring your awareness to your hips and your pelvis.
Just notice if there's any holding on happening there.
And if there is,
Invite it to soften,
To let go.
Even just 1% more.
And in this place,
At the very base of your spine,
We encounter the first chakra.
So in your own mind,
Imagine a soft,
Red,
Glowing light beginning to move in a clockwise motion,
Connecting with the energetic center at the base of your body,
This root chakra.
Envision that light glowing and shining from within and expanding outward,
While still moving in this circular pattern.
Let your breath connect with that space.
And perhaps repeat the mantra,
I am.
Then bring your awareness just above that soft,
Red,
Glowing light to the space of your pelvis.
Begin to envision an orange glowing light moving in that same circular motion.
This space of creativity.
The space of bringing your natural gifts into the world.
Sensing your hips and low back from the inside out.
This sacral chakra is connected with emotions,
With feeling.
Perhaps softly,
Quietly repeating to yourself,
I feel.
And letting that orange glow begin to grow and expand with each breath.
Then bringing your awareness up just a bit more to that space right at your center.
The space just above your navel.
And in this space,
Envisioning a soft yellow glow.
This is the place of willpower.
This is also the place that we often get stuck in a pattern of overdoing,
Over helping,
Over indulging,
Over purchasing,
Over caring for others,
And neglecting ourselves.
It's easy for this space to become out of balance.
So as you begin to envision a soft yellow glow of light from this space,
Begin to see it moving in the clockwise motion and coming back into balance with the red and the orange below it.
So that neither one light is shining brighter than the other.
Yet instead,
They find a harmony.
And in this space,
As your awareness rests here,
Repeating the mantra,
I do.
Creating that sense of balance in your first three chakras.
Then gently moving up to your heart space,
The fourth chakra.
And in your mind,
Perhaps as you envision a soft green light begin to glow,
Maybe even intertwined with a soft shade of pink.
You might repeat the mantra,
I love.
Imagine this green and perhaps pink light swirling in a clockwise motion.
Perhaps noticing if one of these energetic centers feels a bit more out of balance than the other or more challenging to connect with.
Trusting that that's okay.
We can bring about a sense of balance by envisioning the color of each chakra.
And creating a sense of balance in those colors in our own minds.
So with each breath,
Connecting with this place of connection with ourselves and the place of connection with others.
Yet also a place where we are so often wounded and hurt.
If it feels right to you,
Perhaps you even connect your hand with your heart.
Cradling,
Nurturing this space that needs love,
That needs attention,
That needs to be seen and heard.
I love.
Allow this green light to expand and shine outward in all directions.
And now as you breathe fully into that space,
Allow your awareness to shift upward to your throat area.
The fifth chakra.
This is the place where we notice a soft blue color or maybe even a bold blue color beginning to shine through,
Moving in that balanced circular pattern within you.
And sensing this space from the inside out,
Notice if there are any black edges there.
If there's any places that might feel a little bit stuck and if your body is calling for it,
Allow for the energy to move.
Maybe that's through clearing your throat,
Coughing,
Yawning,
Swallowing.
Whatever it may be,
Allow any energy that may feel stuck or stagnant there to just move through you.
And with each breath,
That blue light begins to shine brighter.
In your own mind,
Envisioning the colors from the base of your spine shining up the red,
Orange,
Yellow,
Green,
And now this blue color all falling into balance,
Swirling in the clockwise motion.
This fifth chakra is the place where we speak truth from.
It's about aligning with and stepping into your truth.
Silently or in your own mind,
Repeating the affirmation,
I speak.
Allow energy to flow freely through your throat,
Softening your jaw,
Softening your cheeks,
Softening your nose.
And then bringing your awareness to that space right above your nose in between your eyebrows,
The third eye.
As we move into this sixth chakra,
Begin to see a deep purple color,
Perhaps even repeating in your own mind the mantra,
I see.
This is your ability to have that intuitive connection,
Noticing if it feels accessible to you to connect from the inside out with this place in your forehead,
With this place inside,
The structure that houses how we move through this day.
And I wonder if you can use that deep purple color to soften any overthinking,
To soften any overactivity of your mind,
And to strengthen the intuitive wisdom,
The inner guidance within.
Perhaps even noticing as you do your face begin to relax,
Your forehead softening,
Eyebrows settling.
Notice what that's like from the inside out.
And then begin to move your awareness up to the very crown of your head,
To your scalp,
This place of knowing,
This place of knowledge.
Invite it to soften and perhaps even open.
In this space,
Notice energy moving equally in and out of you,
From the divine as well as from the ground.
Envision a rainbow of colors,
All those colors we've just created balance with in your body.
Envision that rainbow of colors moving out from the crown of your head and moving down from the divine,
Anchoring you to this place in this world,
Yet also creating divine connection.
Moving beyond the walls that you are in and expanding out into the community,
Into the world.
Allow this rainbow of colors to extend from you while also to move through you,
Receiving guidance,
Receiving intelligence and wisdom from above.
While expanding your light to those you may not even know,
Remaining fully grounded and steady.
Let this beautiful rainbow of color wash over you and fill you in every sense.
And then simply placing whatever boundary around you that feels right and authentic today.
Perhaps that's a bubble,
Perhaps that's a screen.
Letting whatever needs to come in,
To come in.
And whatever needs to leave,
To leave.
Catching the gunk before it impacts you or others.
Whatever may come to mind,
Allow yourself to create the boundaries that you need to maintain this space right now.
Even when you leave this meditation,
You know exactly what those boundaries are.
You know exactly where they belong in your life and what you need to do to maintain them.
You see yourself at this time setting those anchors in place.
This is a place you can come back to anytime.
In fact,
Revisiting daily or even a couple times a day.
Even in a shortened version.
To find this sense of balance again.
Allow energy to flow freely through you,
To you and from you.
Taking a full inhale.
And as you exhale settling back into yourself.
Feeling balanced and harmonious.
Taking away any other insights or wisdom that you may need to glean from this time,
From this space and allowing it to sit with you.
Trusting that this open,
Balanced version of you with the crown chakra radiating a rainbow of colors while also receiving a rainbow of colors is the divine connection that makes you both fully human and fully divine.
And take a full breath in through your nose,
Expanding in all directions.
Exhale out,
Sighing it out,
Letting that breath go.
And when you are ready,
Opening your eyes ready to go about your day with a greater sense of ease and connection.
