So just let your body get into a comfortable position.
You could be seated upright or lying down.
This guided meditation is intended to help prepare you for bed.
So you could be in bed,
But you could also be somewhere comfy on the couch.
Either will work just fine.
When your body feels comfortable and settled.
Let your eyes gently close.
And get a sense of where your body makes contact with what you're resting on.
Really feel what your head is resting on.
Feel what your shoulders are resting on.
Feel what your back is touching.
What your arms are resting on.
Feel what your legs are touching.
And what your feet are touching.
Really feeling all the support of what you're resting on.
And then whether you're in your bed or you're somewhere else,
I invite you to imagine yourself in your bed,
Feeling so cozy and supported,
Comfortable.
And I invite you to say to yourself,
I love my bed.
I love my bed and just repeat this to yourself a few times silently or out loud.
Imagining yourself in your comfortable bed.
I love my bed.
I love my bed.
Just keep going.
Begin to really feel that warmth and comfort and love that you have for your bed.
Really begin to feel that in your body.
And then I invite you to begin saying to yourself,
My bed is going to feel so good tonight.
Just repeat this a few times.
My bed is going to feel so good tonight.
And then I invite you to say to yourself,
My bedroom is my sanctuary.
My bedroom is my sanctuary.
And just repeat this a few more times.
And then I invite you to bring your attention to your chest area.
And feel a sense of warmth developing in your chest.
As you think about your bed and as you think about your bedroom,
Feel a warmth developing in your chest,
A fondness.
A love of your bed and your bedroom and really feel this warmth develop in your chest.
And then whenever you feel ready,
You can deepen your inhale and take this sense of warmth,
This sense of love and comfort connected to your bed and your bedroom with you as you let your eyes open.
And return to the room with this warmth and comfort.
And looking forward to getting into bed.
