In this 22-Min Heart and Soul Connection Meditation we work on expanding the newest version of ourselves. The version that lost a child. Moving into this new self, we let go of shame and guilt and live to our greatest potential. Tragedy does not define us. We have so much life left to love and give.

Hi,

Welcome to Caring June.

This is a meditation specifically created for parents and caregivers who have lost a child.

Today we're going to move from the heart and the soul to the hands.

In this meditation,

We are going to bring you in touch with your soul.

Let's take a deep breath in through our nose and sigh it out.

I want you to think about where the soul lives in your body.

I want you to hone into that space to give you an idea.

Many people describe their soul to be located somewhere in their mid-chest,

Next to the heart.

Let's start by getting into a comfortable position.

You can be seated on the ground with your legs crossed.

You can be seated in a chair,

And if you have space,

You can lie down on the floor.

If your soul lives somewhere else in the body,

Then bring your attention to it there.

I want us to go deeply within and locate our soul.

I want you to think about your heart enveloped in a deep,

Red,

Pulsating light like that of a heart chakra.

Now that we've identified the heart and the soul,

I want you to meditate on the light that encompasses your heart and glows,

And envision it pulsating toward your soul.

What color is the energy of your soul?

Is it dark?

Is it light?

Is it glittery?

Think about how beautiful your soul is.

You are your soul.

Think about how beautiful you are.

You are unique.

You are special.

You have something inside of you,

A blueprint that was created,

That no one else in the world has.

Part of your story and your blueprint is your child or your children.

Part of your blueprint,

Unfortunately,

And in the worst circumstances,

Is that you lost your child.

This does not define you.

It is part of your creation.

Visualize in your mind's eye your soul and your heart meeting for the first time.

Allow that pulsating light of red energy around your heart to embrace with that of maybe the darkness of your soul.

Allow them to become entwined.

Maybe you've never thought about this before,

But think about it now.

What relationship does your soul have with your heart?

This might be difficult to conjure because maybe,

Again,

You've never considered it.

Maybe this is a crazy idea.

Bear with me.

Allow yourself to go deeper within.

Let me ask you,

Where in your body does your child live today?

Once,

Your child was tucked safely in your womb,

Near to your beating heart.

Now that your child is no longer in your womb,

They have been birthed.

They lived as an earthly being for some time.

Although they are no longer earthly beings,

Perhaps you locate your child within your heart.

Maybe your child lives in your heart now.

Imagine when you form a unity between your soul and your heart.

You're forming a unity between your child and yourself.

Your child lives within your heart.

And your soul is you.

Your child will forever live within you.

You carry their sacredness with you every day.

At times,

It feels as if your heart could shrivel and die,

The thought of no longer holding your child.

Other times,

It feels as if it might burst with the amount of love you have for them.

Our child lives within our hearts because that is where we carry them.

We have no other choice today.

But if we will carry them,

We will carry them deeply within our hearts.

Now,

Bring your focus back to your soul.

Your soul stands unified with your child.

You have envisioned this.

Imagining them together fulfills one desire of your soul.

Let's take a deep breath in through the nose.

Pause at the top and sigh it out.

Now ask yourself,

What does my soul want from me?

We know what you desire for your soul.

Perhaps you don't know what your soul wants.

And that's more than okay.

That's what this work is all about.

It's about discovering what our higher self wants in this life after losing a child.

By searching and uncovering what our higher self wants,

We will live in our ultimate alignment and purpose.

We will be able to see that we have purpose again after losing our child.

We will achieve contentment despite life's greatest loss.

Your child wants you to be content.

Your child wants you to be so happy.

You deserve everything good in this life.

You have been through the worst,

And now you deserve only the best.

Purpose is discovering what aligns with your own desires and the desires of the soul.

It's that feeling of knowing,

Of ease,

Of being 100% positive about something.

It's about living in joy without a shadow of a doubt.

Maybe you don't know what your soul wants,

And that's okay.

Continue to show up for yourself and for your well-being.

Continue to practice meditations,

Nourish your body,

And take time to invest in your mind and spirit.

If you complete these tasks,

You will discover what your soul wants.

Do not be afraid of your soul.

It is the higher consciousness of you.

It is there to receive information.

Often we believe that the brain creates our thoughts,

But what if I said the brain is actually the conduit?

It also receives information.

Allow your soul to receive the information from your higher power,

Whether that be God or the universe.

For this information will bring you into your purpose and serve you in finding peace.

Let's take a deep breath in through our nose.

Pause at the top and sigh it out.

Now let's move from the heart and the soul to the hands.

It is up to you to bring what your heart and soul desire to fruition.

Maybe this is in the very backdrop of your life.

Maybe this is a desire before your child became sick.

Maybe this is a desire that you've been stuffing down because you have guilt living your life after your child died.

That is all okay and that is all completely normal.

It is time to acknowledge what you really want in this life.

It is time to live for you.

It is time for you to walk into your greatest well-being,

For you,

For your family,

For your living children.

It is time for you to live.

By bringing your heart and your soul to your fingertips,

You're going to create the life you want to live.

You have the power to create your reality.

It will not happen overnight.

Give yourself grace.

Be patient with yourself.

You will get there.

It might take months.

It might even take years.

Sometimes our grief is so vast that we have to stay in it.

We don't see the light.

We don't see the escape.

We don't see a way out.

That's okay.

That's where we need to be.

We need to be deeply engulfed in our grief.

This is not manifesting.

Manifesting can often lead us short-sighted.

The notion that we want something so we meditate on it and we pray for it and therefore one day we believe we will receive it.

When we focus on the one thing it is that we want,

We are limiting ourselves.

Because our higher consciousness knows what is best for us,

Not our brains.

Reflect on a situation that you desired but ended up with a different outcome.

Ask yourself,

Did that outcome actually serve you better?

This is manifesting.

Opening and allowing yourself to be open to the endless possibilities of what will come your way.

Your child is gone from this earth.

Your child is gone from this earth.

But they live within you.

You carry them into every single new day.

Every morning that you awake,

Allow for it to be like a rebirth.

Thank your higher power for another day.

Seek the heart and the soul.

Find them again.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Pause at the top,

And exhale.

Feel the radiant pulse of your heart beating in your chest.

Feel it moving through your body,

Expanding outside of the physical realms of self.

Allow your soul to be engulfed in the heart's essence.

Allow for your soul to expand just like your heart.

Let it travel through your fingertips to where you can do the work outside of your body to fulfill your life's greatest purpose and desires.

Maybe your greatest desire is to find a pocket of happiness today.

It might be that you take a long hot shower and feel the warmth of the water on your back.

Imagine shedding all of the negative energy,

Washing it all away from your body,

So at the end you feel refreshed and replenished.

Maybe it's been a challenging task for you to get in the shower recently after losing your child.

I know it was for me.

Maybe you're a little further in your grief journey and you've mastered the shower.

Your newly presented challenge is deciding if you're going to leave your house.

In the months after June died,

I didn't leave the house for an entire summer.

I barely found the strength to step out onto my front porch.

Maybe you're three years into your grief journey like me today,

And you're sorting out the way you want to live your life.

Not the rest of your life,

Not the next five years,

Just today.

Ask yourself,

How do I want to live in this moment to fulfill my highest purpose and greatest good?

No matter where you come from today,

You have a purpose.

You are here for a reason.

If that reason is confusing,

Maybe you just come up with a blank wall when you're trying to conjure it.

Do not worry,

Because healing takes time.

After June died,

I stared at the blank wall for two years.

Let's take a deep breath in through our nose and out through our mouths.

Thank yourself for being here today.

Thank your body,

Your mind,

And your spirit for carrying you through this life.

Live your life because you can.

Instead of asking yourself,

Why did this happen to me?

Instead,

Ask yourself,

Why did this happen for me?

It is up to you to find the strength to continue the work and to apply the meaning.

It won't be easy,

But you can do it.

There is meaning in everything.

Nothing is ever lost.

You are beautiful.

You are amazing.

You are still in there.

The person you were is still there.

The you from before your child died is still there,

But more beautiful,

More amazing,

Stronger.

It is through pain our souls can rise to their highest purpose.

Nothing is ever lost.

Take several more deep breaths in and out.

You are alive.

You are well in this moment.

You are magic.

You are so special because your extraordinary child chose you.

The external bond is gone,

But the internal bond exists infinitely between you and your child.

Let's take one final deep inhale together and sigh it out.

Thank yourself for being here today.

Thank yourself for showing up and doing the work.

This is one small piece and one giant step into the future of becoming who you want to be.

Walk there,

Walk in that light with no shame,

No guilt.

Love yourself.

Thank you for being here.

Namaste.
