Close your eyes and breathe in deeply.

As you breathe out,

Let your body relax into the ground.

Relax and let go.

Relax and let go.

Imagine any tension leaving your body as you exhale,

Flowing out like a waterfall into the ground beneath you.

Point your feet away from you,

Then flex the ankles and bring your toes towards you.

Relax and let go.

Tense the muscles in your legs.

Squeeze tightly,

Now let go.

Feel your legs becoming completely relaxed.

Tense the muscles around your hips and bottom.

Now relax and let go.

Sink into the ground,

Becoming heavier and heavier.

Relax and let go.

Pull your tummy muscles in.

Hold for a second.

And let go.

Relax and let go.

Pull your shoulders up towards your ears.

Hold them there and let go.

Relax and let go.

Tighten the muscles in your arms.

Make fists with your hands.

Hold on.

Relax and let go.

Relax and let go.

Move your jaw from side to side.

Have a big yawn.

Then relax your face.

Relax and let go.

Open your mouth really wide and give your face a big stretch.

Now completely relax and let go.

Allow your mind to become calm and still.

Let go of any troubles and worries and relax.

Your body and mind are now completely relaxed.

I am calm and relaxed.

I am calm and relaxed.

My 8-year-old was tossing and turning for almost an hour at bedtime. I play music at night but this was his first meditation. As soon as he heard the voice, he instantly melted into the mattress. He was asleep before it was over.

Wonderful! Thank you for this short and sweet meditation for my daughter. After school today she wanted to play with a friend but she was not able to. This meditation calmed her tiresome body and emotional fit of crying. She now relaxed and rested while I watch the humming birds.
