Take this time to be with yourself through gentle breathing and guided reflection before the day gets started. You are worthy of checking in with yourself as often as you need and doing it in a way that works for you.

Hi,

Everyone.

Thanks for joining this practice today.

This is morning meditation and journaling.

So go ahead and grab a journal if you'd like.

You can also choose to reflect mentally without paper.

So whatever works for you today,

Once you have your materials,

Find a seat.

And I would recommend sitting for this practice just because we will be journaling.

But if you've chosen to reflect mentally,

You might lay down or walk around.

So once we're here together,

Settled into this moment,

Just take a moment to arrive here.

And I start most of my offerings with that because we often have so much going on when we come into these spaces.

There's usually a reason we show up here.

And there's nothing wrong with that,

Right?

I mean,

It's kind of the way that the world works.

It's busy.

But we are allowed to take this time away to sit and arrive and be here in this moment,

No matter what has gone on before or what will go on after.

Just take a couple of deep breaths if that feels right for you.

Only to breathe here in a natural way for you.

It doesn't have to be forced or labored.

This can be your own definition of breath.

And maybe you choose to do a few stretches too.

So stretching your neck from side to side,

Up and down.

Perhaps rolling your wrists around to create some mobility and reversing that direction when you're ready.

And we'll do some square breathing today.

So if you'd like to join with us,

How it will work is four counts of an inhale.

Hold for four counts.

Exhale for four counts.

Hold for four counts.

And we'll do that cycle four times.

If this doesn't work for you,

You are totally welcome to focus in on just your natural breathing pattern,

Maybe sounds or things in the environment around you.

Maybe you tune into bodily sensations or feelings.

Breath doesn't always have to be the thing that we use as our anchoring point.

So find what works for you always.

All right.

So breathe in for four if you're joining me for this.

Hold for four.

Exhale for four.

Hold for four.

Breath in for four.

Hold for four.

Exhale for four.

Hold for four.

Now do two more rounds of that on your own.

Your cycle,

You may wish to just tune into a normal breath pattern for you or one of those other anchoring points that I described earlier.

We'll begin to work through some reflection questions.

So whenever you're ready,

Take maybe one last deep breath or kind of in your mind,

Seal in this breath practice.

And perhaps you place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly before we move into reflection and say,

I am worthy just as I am today.

Or some other mantra that works for you.

So the first question we have for reflection today is what are your favorite ways to get in touch with yourself?

And how do you know when you need to access these methods?

What are your favorite ways to get in touch with yourself?

How do you know when you need to access these methods?

I'll give you just a few minutes to reflect and then we'll come back together.

You you you and start to wrap up this question.

You can always come back to these prompts these kind of serve as a way to start thinking about these things but you can certainly always come back and spend many more minutes on each of these.

So the next question I want us to reflect on is when you close your eyes and imagine a big life what do you see?

What excites you and or scares you about that vision?

When you close your eyes and imagine a big life what do you see?

What excites you and or scares you about that vision?

Take a few moments to write here.

You you you and start to wrap up on this question.

This is a pretty big question so definitely come back to this one if you feel that you need more time and space to reflect.

I want to remind you that you can come back to this practice of checking in with yourself or breathing or noticing what's around you or what's in your body or journaling at any time that you need it.

It's not always easy to do that I find for myself even.

So be gentle with yourself through this process of learning to check in with yourself when you need it.

I hope this practice was helpful for you today to ground into yourself in your body and I hope you have a fantastic rest of the day.

I will see you next time.

Thanks.
