Welcome.

I'm so honoured that you have chosen to join me today.

This short meditation is here to support you through an alcohol craving with calm,

Care and strength.

You've already taken the powerful step by pressing play.

There's nothing you need to do or achieve.

Just be here with me in this moment.

Now gently find a comfortable seat or lie down if that feels better.

Close your eyes if you feel safe to do so and allow your body to begin to soften and settle.

Bring your attention to your breath.

Inhale slowly through your nose.

Exhale gently through your mouth.

Let's do that again.

Inhale and exhale.

With each breath feel your shoulders drop and your body soften.

You are safe.

You are supported.

Now bring gentle awareness to the craving you're experiencing.

Where do you feel it in your body?

Is it in your chest?

Your throat?

Your stomach?

Simply notice it.

No judgment.

Just curiosity.

You are not the craving.

You are the calm ocean beneath it.

Cravings come and go like waves.

Visualize this craving rising like a wave and then falling.

Rising and falling.

Fading into the shore.

Breathe into it.

You are doing beautifully.

Now gently repeat after me silently or aloud.

This feeling will pass.

I am calm.

I am in control.

I choose peace over pressure.

Let your breath anchor you in the present moment.

Inhale.

I am grounded.

Exhale.

I am safe.

You have just moved through a craving with courage and compassion.

Take a moment to thank yourself.

You are healing.

You are growing.

Begin to bring gentle movement to your fingers and toes.

When you are ready open your eyes.

You are strong.

You are alcohol free.

You are enough.
