Welcome,

This is your pause,

A moment to return to yourself.

You have with you your cup of cacao,

Warm,

Nourishing and alive.

As a mother,

You pour love and energy into others all day long.

Now allow yourself to be nourished.

This is your time to receive.

I invite you to take your cup gently in both hands.

Begin to feel its warmth seeping into your palms.

Notice the aroma of the cacao rising to meet you.

Before sipping,

Take a moment of gratitude for the cacao plant.

The earth and all the elements that grew it.

For the hands that harvested and carry the cacao to be here with you today.

Breathe deeply and exhale softly arriving fully into your time.

Place your hand,

One hand on your heart and the other still holding your cup.

And ask yourself quietly,

What do I need most right now?

Perhaps it is rest,

Perhaps patience,

Perhaps simply to be held.

Trust the first words of feeling that arise and whisper your intention to your heart.

Bring the cup to your lips,

Take your first slow sip,

Allowing your cacao to rest on your tongue before swallowing.

Notice its warmth flowing into your body,

Down to your belly like a gentle embrace from within.

Take another sip,

This time imagining it softening your heart.

Let the cacao spread through you like a golden glow,

Melting away tension,

Replacing it with calm presence.

Continue sipping as slowly as you like,

Resting between sips to feel how your body responds.

Remember this is your time,

So much of your day will be fast and will be outward.

This is your time for slow and your time for you.

Now you may like to close your eyes,

Bring your awareness to your heart space.

With each inhale,

What do you feel?

With each exhale,

What do you feel?

Inhale,

Opening a little more,

And exhale,

Letting go of a little more,

Of expectation or guilt.

Imagine your cacao as the gentle light radiating from your heart.

This light flows through your whole body,

Into every cell,

Reminding you,

You are enough,

You are held and you are loved.

I am held,

I am loved.

Wherever you are with your cacao,

We will take one final sip together,

Sealing the intention within.

Returning to your intention,

Your words for yourself.

I receive this moment of calm,

I am allowed to rest,

I am allowed to take a deep slow breath in,

And a long gentle breath out.

When you are ready,

Open your eyes,

And carry this warmth and calm with you to the rest of your day.
