This relaxation track taps into the imagery from the Australian Bush. The sounds of the bush are in the background with a full guide to awareness through the mind and body. There is gentle guidance beginning with settling the body, drawing attention to the breath, then being aware of the different aspects of the natural landscape through the sounds in the background and the imagination. The tempo of the relaxation meets the natural energy of daytime activity and promotes slowing down as it progresses.

So this relaxation is meditating in nature,

Allowing yourself the luxury to relax and stimulate the senses with the sounds of nature,

An Australian bush,

And this relaxation will bring awareness to the mind and body,

Whilst also being aware of the different sounds and what kinds of feelings or what kinds of smells or tastes,

Other sensory responses you have to this relaxation.

Welcome to the bush,

And take a moment to just become comfortable in your spot,

Taking time to make the body as comfortable as you can,

Straightening out,

Finding support for the whole body,

Especially the neck and the head,

Allowing them to rest back gently so that they don't flop forward through the relaxation,

And when you find the most comfortable position,

Ease into that position,

Just notice the energy through the body as you breathe in and out,

Simply letting the body settle into the surface,

Allowing the body to be completely at ease.

This is time for you to relax fully,

Just knowing that other people are tending to things for now,

And that you can take this time to focus your awareness into this relaxation,

Settling in,

Preparing for this time out for yourself,

This time out that you're doing something by doing nothing,

In this case,

Relaxing,

Bringing awareness through the body and the mind,

Maybe even your spirit,

Tapping into your senses and allowing yourself the luxurious permission to enjoy these sensations and this response in your body,

Just beginning by noticing your breathing as you relax and release,

Noticing the breath in and out,

You might imagine that you're surrounded by the Australian bush,

The grasses and trees,

Wildlife that stirs all around you,

Knowing that right now you're safe,

Knowing right now that you can relax and be totally at ease,

And allowing this time to bring about any response through your imagination as you hear the sounds,

Noticing the air as you breathe,

Slight breeze,

You might imagine the warmth of the sun on your face,

You might imagine the cold or cool tickle of the wind on your skin,

Noticing the stillness when things just stop,

Noticing the conversations again when they begin,

Taking a moment to use your sense of listening to the different sounds around,

Focusing on sounds close to you,

The obvious sounds,

Maybe some of the sounds a little bit further away,

Or the more subtle sounds,

Imagining your body relaxing in this special place,

Surrounded by nature,

Wildlife,

Bringing to you whatever the body needs,

And just notice as you're relaxing how the body responds,

Noticing yourself,

You might be trying to identify the sounds,

A place where this location is in your mind,

Judging by the sounds,

But right now it doesn't matter,

As long as you feel relaxed and at ease,

You know,

Just allowing yourself to focus on this relaxation,

Imagining nature all around you,

Breathing in deeply,

Imagining the smells,

The tea trees,

The eucalyptus trees,

Sweet freshness of spring flowers,

Buds,

Even those pesky vines,

All those blackberries,

Knowing each one has a place in this ecosystem,

Just as you do,

And just notice if there's any judgment about the things that you're hearing or you're imagining in this place,

Trying to release and recognize that each thing has its place,

Noticing what kind of memories come up,

If there are any,

Or what comes up in your imagination,

If this natural landscape is foreign to you,

And then just noticing yourself relaxing and releasing any tension as you continue to relax in nature,

Surrounded by the air,

Smells,

Sounds,

Feeling of fresh air,

Feeling of slowing down to notice small details,

Perhaps in the blades of grass,

In different shapes,

Sizes of the leaves and the trees,

Different colors of the trees,

From those ghost gums to those stringy bark,

The she-oaks,

Just noticing the textures,

Allowing the body to relax,

Noticing your breath,

Your breathing pattern,

Slowing down as you relax in nature,

As you bring your awareness and attention outside of you to what's around you,

What energy you are being surrounded by,

Just noticing where your energy ends and where that energy begins,

And how are you part of that energy.

You might just notice this in your relaxation through imagining your body relaxing in this natural space,

And the energy surrounding you,

Or the energy holding you,

Notice what that feels like,

And how your body responds,

And noticing the stillness once again around you,

Noticing yourself calm,

At ease,

Knowing that at any time you want to return to this place,

You can do so.

For now,

Letting images and sounds fade back to where they came from,

Back into the bush,

And they're always there,

And allowing yourself to prepare to come back to your full awareness,

Your full awakeness,

Beginning to move or stretch in any way that you feel comfortable,

And bringing the body back to full awareness,

Opening the eyes,

Looking around your space again,

And hoping to meet again next time.

Have a good day.
