Find a comfortable seated position where your hips are slightly higher than your knees.

Your head rests gently in a neutral position on your shoulders.

Gently close your eyes as you take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth,

Settling into your body.

Imagine a bowl of wax pouring slowly over the top of your head.

As the wax drips down over your scalp,

It melts away all the muscle tension in your head.

The wax drips down over your forehead and your eyes,

Your nose,

Your cheeks,

Your mouth,

And your chin,

Releasing all the tension in your face,

In your jaw,

In your tongue,

In your teeth,

Just releasing and relaxing completely.

The wax drips down over your ears and your neck,

Reaching your shoulders,

Your chest and your back,

Melting away all the muscle tension.

The wax drips down over your shoulders and your biceps,

Your elbows,

Your forearms.

Feel your muscles relax completely.

Release the wrists and the hands,

The fingers.

As the wax drips down your back,

Over your shoulder blades and your spine,

Let all the muscle tension melt away.

The wax drips down your chest and your abdomen,

Your sides and your hips,

Completely releasing the tension.

Notice as you breathe in all the space created in your rib cage by melting away the muscle tension.

As the wax drips down over your buttocks and your thighs,

Your knees and your calves,

All the muscle tension melts away.

The ankles and the feet and the toes release and relax completely.

Feel how your skeleton is perfectly supported.

As you sit in this stillness effortlessly,

Feel the space.

As you breathe in and out,

The air moves effortlessly through your rib cage,

Swirling around your spine.

Enjoy the perfect peacefulness of this space.

If you notice any muscle tension creeping back in,

Just let it melt away.

As you breathe in and out,

The air moves effortlessly through your rib cage,

Swirling around your spine.

Now,

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes,

Letting the light of the room back in.

Take your palms together at your heart and thank yourself for taking the time to melt away the muscle tension.
