All human actions are motivated at their deepest level by two emotions,
Love and fear.
In truth,
There are only two emotions,
Two words in the language of the soul,
Two sides of the same raw energy that drives the human experience.
Without these two points,
These two ideas,
No other ideas could exist.
Every thought,
Feeling,
Action and word is based on either love or fear.
All others are but derivatives of these.
It is either love or fear that is the feeling behind the feeling behind the feeling.
Every action taken by humans is based on either love or fear.
Human relationships,
Decisions in business,
Politics,
Education,
Economic goals,
Aggression,
Submission,
Every single choice.
Fear is the energy which contracts,
Closes in,
Runs,
Hides,
Hoards,
Harms,
Clings.
Love is the energy which expands,
Opens up,
Stays,
Revels,
Shares,
Heals,
Gives.
Fear holds close.
Love holds dear.
Fear grasps.
Love lets go.
Fear attacks.
Love amends.
Feel no shame when you look at your life and see that more often than not,
Fear is chosen over love.
You have been taught this from birth,
Taught to be seen and not heard,
That the fittest survive,
The victory goes to the strongest,
The success goes to the cleverest,
Safety goes to the most attractive.
Precious little is said about the glory of the most loving.
So you strive to be the fittest,
Strongest,
Cleverest,
And most attractive in one way or another.
If you see yourself as anything less than this,
Your fear is in not being good enough.
When you see yourself as fit,
Or strong,
Or clever,
Or attractive,
You fear losing it.
I tell you this,
When you choose love,
You will do more than survive.
You will do more than win.
You will do more than succeed.
You will do more than attract.
You will experience the full glory of who you really are and who you can yet be.
If this feels far-fetched to you,
It is likely because you have forgotten what love is.
Your experience of love might be based on what you see in the world,
A mirage of love riddled with judgment and punishment.
It is no wonder you then judge and punish yourself in the name of love.
This is a simplistic view of love and has nothing to do with who you are.
It is based on human experience rather than spiritual truth.
It is a fear-based love.
To deny this view of love would be to deny your whole world view.
Not many are able to take on a grander version of love because the idea of love without fear and judgment is too magnificent to be embraced,
Even in the grandest notion of who you are.
This fear-based love reality dominates every experience you have of love.
You see yourself getting love that is conditional,
And you watch yourself give love that is conditional.
But deep down,
Even when you withhold,
Retreat,
Or set conditions on your love,
A part of you knows this is not what love really is.
But how could you love any other way?
The moment you pledge your deepest love,
You meet your greatest fear.
The first thing you worry about when you say,
I love you,
Is if you will hear it back.
And if you do hear it back,
You will begin to worry immediately when you will lose that love you just found.
All action becomes a reaction,
A defense against loss.
You've learned the hard way that you are not going to leave yourself vulnerable again.
I get it.
Yet the truth is,
By your own mistaken thoughts about love,
Do you condemn yourself to never get to experience it purely.
So do you condemn yourself to never know you as you really are?
If you knew who you were,
That you are the most magnificent,
Remarkable,
Splendid thing ever created,
You would never fear.
The only way fear can exist is by believing you are anything less than divine.
Living in that illusion is what feeds fear,
All based on your decision to doubt your power.
What if you made a new decision?
What if you realized you do not deserve love?
That might feel like a slap to your soul at first glance,
But I hope you can trust me enough to entertain the thought.
You do not deserve love.
This also means you cannot earn it.
Love is innate.
Love is a birthright.
To understand this,
You must turn away from all your external teachers.
There are many loving,
Well-meaning people who teach about the depth and breadth of love,
Myself included.
But the best teacher is not anyone outside of you.
It is the intuition within you.
It is the voice that guides you.
The voice that is telling you right now whether the words you are listening to are words of love or words of fear.
By this measure,
You can determine if these words are to heed or words to ignore.
Listen to your feelings.
Listen to your highest thoughts.
Listen to your experiences.
These are the only authoritative voices.
Whenever any of these differ from what you have read in a book,
Anything you have heard,
Forget those words.
Words are the least reliable purveyor of truth.
Remember that you are here for one thing.
To experience the highest form of love you can imagine.
The feeling.
Not the knowledge.
The knowledge is conceptual.
You already have the knowledge.
The feeling is experiential.
You will not understand love through outward observation,
Only inward experience.
When inward experience reveals itself,
Outward observation becomes unnecessary.
Love opens the heart instead of the mind,
Which perceives.
The mind thinks,
The heart knows.
Your heart knows that your capacity for love is far beyond what you have ever dreamed.
The more you let go,
The more loving you become.
The more loving you become,
The closer you are to experience the highest feeling,
Which is the experience of unity with all that there is.
Perfect love is to feeling what perfect white is to color.
White is not the absence of color.
It is the inclusion of all color.
It is every color that exists combined.
Every color mixed together is white.
This is also true with love.
Love is not the absence of anger,
Or fear,
Or lust,
Or jealousy,
But rather the inclusion of all of it put together,
Everything.
In order for you to experience perfect love,
You will have to experience every human feeling.
How else could you know love if you have not experienced fear?
How could you have compassion for something you have not experienced?
How can you forgive in another that which you haven't experienced in yourself?
There is only one thing,
And that is love,
And love is all there is.
The highest truth is that love is all there is.
We are surrounded by love.
It is present everywhere.
