Hey sis,

We have scratched the surface of what returning to yourself looks like,

And each lesson will get deeper and deeper.

Go through these at your own pace,

There is no strict cadence.

Trust your inner wisdom and intrinsic needs,

And you will know when you are ready.

When you are ready,

Soften your gaze until your eyes close and the blackness surrounds you like a warming break.

Slow down your breathing,

Sink into this moment with each exhale.

Feel your body getting heavier and heavier,

Rooting into the here and now.

Bring your full attention to your body,

Think about your relationship to your body.

Most women have developed a punishing or controlling attitude towards their bodies.

I know I did.

If you are anything like me,

Most of my life I viewed my body as a project that needs to be endlessly worked on,

Or a vehicle to be disciplined,

And at its worst,

A battlefield.

I have spent most of my life waging war on it.

I have vivid memories of my worth being measured by my waist size and numbers on a scale.

I trained it to wake up at 5.

30 to make it to a 6 a.

M.

Yoga class.

I took it on runs in adverse weather conditions and rebuked it when it slept in or bloated.

I was vegetarian for three years because meat was bad.

I was paleo for three years because carbs were bad.

I tried fasting and starving my body for 16 to 20 hours a day,

Every day,

For months.

I tried keto.

I tried different types of working out.

I tried it all.

This is an experience shared by countless women,

Beginning at earlier and earlier ages,

And affecting them well into their later years.

This is a legacy of self-hatred and self-objectification,

Punctured by disordered eating,

Continuous exercise,

And abusive fat talk.

We push ourselves relentlessly,

And when we don't live up to our own expectations,

We judge ourselves.

This cycle can become self-abusive.

We can hardly imagine living in the body's authority,

And yet,

When we harm ourselves,

We are using the body's authority against ourselves.

Instead of spending that authority trying to change it,

Suppress it,

Discipline it,

And punish it,

You and I will begin to use our bodies to capture our instincts and transform them into intuition.

Your body is life itself.

It is the part of you that is connected to natural life.

It is the ancient part of you that knows instinctively how to survive and thrive in the wilderness that has done so for thousands of years.

It connects you to all things in nature.

Consider this.

Energy cannot be created or destroyed.

Every molecule in your body has been around since the beginning of time and holds within it inherent wisdom.

Can you feel the ancient energy pulsating through your body?

Intuition is simply tapping into this wisdom.

It is unraveling the fear response,

Focused solely on survival,

And going deeper into trust by viewing your body in a new way.

It is my deepest honor to invite you to a new way to live inside of your bodily home.

It is one that changed my life and my relationship with my bodily genius.

It encompasses the mind body,

Physical body,

And emotional body.

Together,

Your bodily genius becomes the vessel that holds all that you are,

And you can use it to navigate life through a vessel that is a portal to wisdom,

A potent source of power,

And a conduit of pleasure,

A gift,

A superpower.

Feel the power surging through you right now.

It is always there.

Your bodily genius can be a premier decision-making tool,

An agent of release and healing,

A wisdom carrier of deep insight,

And holder of universal secrets and mysteries.

Your body is the key to unlocking the secrets to who you are.
