Hello and welcome.
Thank you for being here in this moment and in this life.
May this meditation bring you peace and harmony inside and outside.
Before we begin,
I invite you to consider that up until now you have spent so much time trying to grow and develop based on someone else's expectations.
Trying to know yourself based on someone else's discovery.
Someone else's insight.
All this time you've been trying to get it right,
To be good enough,
To be worthy,
To know more,
Have more or be more.
All of your thoughts trying to get you somewhere,
You are not.
You are not.
Up until now you have spent very little time being you.
Just as you are.
This meditation is designed for you to discover and honour yourself and your own experience.
There is absolutely no way that you can fail this meditation.
Just as there is no way that you can fail this life.
There is no right or wrong experience.
There is just what you experience from moment to moment.
To moment and the choice of what you pay attention to.
I will now guide you into your meditation where you will spend some time in the silence of your own experience in between my gentle prompts before I bring you out at the end.
This is your reminder to trust.
To trust this process and allow yourself to experience each moment as it comes.
Please make sure you are seated in an upright position.
This will maximise your awareness and reduce the need to fall asleep.
This will maximise your awareness and reduce the need to fall asleep.
If at any time throughout the meditation you notice your head nodding back and forth,
Simply shift your weight slightly forward to protect your neck.
Let's begin.
Start by taking three deep breaths to settle your nervous system.
Breathing in through your nose and feeling your belly,
Feeling your chest and breathing out through your nose,
Noticing your body softening as you release.
Breathing in and out.
In and out.
In and out.
Allow your breath to soften into a natural rhythm.
Natural,
Normal breath.
Going in through your nose and out through your nose.
There is no need to control your breath.
If your breath is fast,
It is fast.
If it is soft,
It is soft.
There is no need to have it be anything other than what it is.
From moment to moment.
As your mind begins to calm down,
You are beginning to create space where insight can arise.
Insight can occur as a thought or memory,
An emotion or physical sensation.
There is no need to look for insight.
The key to this practice is to be with the moment as it is.
Whenever you experience a thought or memory,
An emotion or physical sensation,
Know that this is completely normal.
It is simply the deeper layers of your mind and body processing and releasing built-up energy and stored stress that you no longer need.
Let it arise.
And when it does,
Choose to be with your breath.
Your natural,
Normal breath.
There is no need to be concerned.
There is no need to be anxious.
There is no need to be concerned about the contents of your thoughts or the sensations within your body.
Simply notice and choose to be with your breath.
There is no need to dissect,
To understand or to analyze.
Simply notice and choose to be with your breath.
You may experience moments of thought or sensation whilst simultaneously being aware of your breath.
This is bound to happen.
All you need to do is choose to be with your breath.
Natural,
Normal breath.
Keep choosing.
The mind will go where it needs to go.
Simply allow the experience and choose to be with your breath.
Natural,
Normal breath.
Keep choosing.
Gently bring your awareness to the sounds around you.
Maybe the sound of your breath.
Maybe the sounds of the weather,
The wind or rain.
Whatever you can hear,
Near or far,
Without labelling or analyzing.
Simply be aware.
With the awareness of the sounds around you,
Can you still notice your breath?
Your breath is a tool in which you have access every moment of every second.
Your breath is a tool in which you have access every moment of every second.
Your breath is your life force.
Giving you direct access to your highest self,
Your truest nature.
Never underestimate the power of choice and choosing to be with your breath.
And choosing to be with your breath.
Whenever your mind becomes busy,
You are triggered by something or someone.
Maybe your emotions start firing,
You feel discomfort in your body,
Simply choose to be with your breath.
Whenever you are ready,
Start to deepen your breath.
Whilst putting a smile on your face.
And slowly open your eyes.
Thank you for allowing me to guide you through this meditation.
And for sharing this journey with me.
