Dropping into your breath,
Beginning to welcome yourself into this moment.
Feeling the breath deepening into your body.
If you're in a place that you can close your eyes or slightly close them,
Turning your gaze within.
Inviting the breath to deepen.
And through each exhale,
Softening just a little bit more.
Softening through your eyes and cheeks,
Through your jaw.
Putting your body and mind into this state of deep relaxation.
Of arrival right here,
Right now.
Noticing if there's any subtle,
Habitual holding through the body.
And through each exhale,
Inviting a deep,
Relieving release.
Finding your breath that deepen,
Deepening.
Unlike a river flowing,
Letting the breath continue to flow out of your body.
Flow back in and out again.
Imagining that you could be washing your body and your mind from the inside.
Whatever arises,
Being with it.
Washing it with your awareness,
With your presence of breath.
Focusing your attention on softening.
Simple.
Giving the mind the beautiful job of becoming soft.
And as you soften here into this moment,
You might ask yourself this.
What is my intention today?
What is my intention through this practice?
What is my intention in my life?
And maybe a thought or a word,
Or a whole beautiful story arises.
And I'll invite you to keep that arising towards the back of your mind.
As if your mind were a stoved up and that could be at the back burner,
Simmering.
And bring towards the front of your mind your breath,
Your awareness of body in this moment.
Rooting your awareness into your body.
Into the patience of being right here,
Right now.
Trusting that this practice is doing so much for your life,
For your creations,
Your relationships.
That this moment is a very powerful moment of service.
Service to yourself.
Service to life.
Service to this web of interconnected life.
All of our relations and connections and beyond.
And bringing awareness right back into your body.
Into the joy of simply being right here,
Relaxing as much as possible.
Now turning your awareness a little deeper.
A deeper layer than the breath is the heart beating in your chest.
If you need to place your hand here you can.
Or if you can have the awareness with the hands resting,
Go there right into the pulsing heart.
Allowing yourself,
Your mind,
Your thoughts to slow down into this pulsing heart inside of your chest.
Inviting your breath to slow down to deepen.
That soft wash through your body,
Through your next exhale.
Continually giving the brain the job of softening the body.
Arriving here in presence is such a deep service to life.
This is the ultimate service.
Whatever you do from this place of being is purposeful.
Whatever you do from this place of being is purposeful.
Allowing the body to be the vessel that it is.
The channel,
The conduit of life connected to life.
So right here,
Right now,
This work,
This practice that you are doing.
This is a service to life.
This practice of how to show up in each moment from here on out.
To bring breath to the foreground.
Ease into your body.
Trust of life moving through right now.
And in each moment,
Trusting that life is moving through every circumstance.
Helping you to remember.
Helping you to remember what you are.
That you're connected.
Softening into your breath again.
As much as possible.
Softening into the breath.
Let us be gentle with ourselves.
Gentle with the life that's here.
Cultivating compassion for yourself first.
All of the barriers to love,
To life.
Inviting them to soften one by one.
Moving back into radiance,
The radiance of a small child who's been well cared for.
The innocence that is innate,
Now rooted in the wisdom of experience.
Let us lean into gratitude for the life that's been delivered.
So that we may extract the gifts that are available.
