As you prepare yourself for restful night's sleep,
I now invite you to lie down.
Create a comfortable nest for yourself to relax in and find peace.
When you are ready,
Gently close your eyes and inhale as deeply as possible,
Allowing the breath to begin settling in to all corners of your body.
As you exhale,
Begin to release any tension or any stress you may be holding onto.
This is your time for deep relaxation and rejuvenation.
Continue to breathe like this,
Inhaling calm and tranquility,
Exhaling all of the stress and all of the worries that you have been carrying,
Allowing yourself to settle in to this meditation,
Allowing yourself to be held and supported in the safety of this cocoon that you've created for yourself.
Take a moment to focus on your breath,
Noticing the natural rhythm of your inhalations and exhalations.
With each breath,
Feeling yourself becoming more calm and more centered,
Allowing your breath to guide you into a state of deep relaxation.
With your next inhale,
Visualizing a beautiful restorative aura surrounding you,
Noticing its color,
Its temperature,
And perhaps even a scent.
Beginning to connect the aura with your breath as you inhale the glow of this aura deep into your lungs before gently releasing.
We will now begin a body scan.
Notice any tension or any areas of discomfort as we scan throughout the entire body.
As you find yourself becoming aware of these sensations,
Imagining them melting away and being replaced by soothing warmth and feeling sepure relaxation.
With your next inhale,
Breathing in the aura and sending its glow to the toes of your left foot,
Into your left foot and up the left leg,
From the calf to the knee to the thigh.
Taking a deep inhale and sending this calming light to the toes of the right foot,
Into the foot and up the right leg,
To the calf,
To the knee,
And to the thigh.
Breathing this light deep into your belly,
Into your torso,
And into your chest.
Allowing it to rest for a moment at heart center before sending the light to the fingers of the left hand,
To the wrist,
And up the arm,
Past the left elbow,
To the shoulder.
Breathing into the fingers of the right hand,
To the wrist,
And taking that breath up the arm,
Past the elbow,
To the shoulder.
Holding this aura once again at heart center,
Before taking a deep inhale to breathe this restorative glow into your head space.
Allowing it to settle in,
Enveloping you in its protective embrace.
With your next inhale,
Breathing deeply and allowing this gorgeous glowing light to wash over every cell in your body.
Cleansing any negative energy and replacing it instead with pure tranquility.
Receiving exactly what it is that your body needs.
Surrendering yourself to this moment.
Feel the weight of your body sinking into the surface beneath you,
Completely supported,
Completely at ease.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Begin to let go of any thoughts or any worries that may be lingering in your mind.
Imagining these thoughts as passing clouds in the sky,
Gently drifting away and out of sight.
Your mind is now clear and tranquil,
Ready to embrace the peacefulness of sleep.
Bringing your attention to the sensations in your body.
Noticing the feeling of relaxation and heaviness spreading through each of your limbs.
Feel the softness of your bedding against your skin,
Comforting you and inviting you to release all conscious thought as you settle in for restorative sleep.
Allowing this sensation of relaxation to deepen with each passing moment.
As you drift deeper into relaxation,
Let go to positive and peaceful thoughts.
Visualize yourself accomplishing your goals and fulfilling your dreams.
Imagine yourself surrounded by loved ones,
Sharing moments of joy and happiness,
Building a mental landscape of positivity and abundance.
In this state of deep relaxation and positive visualization,
Sleep comes effortlessly.
You surrender to the embrace of the night,
Knowing that restful sleep awaits you.
Trust in the natural rhythms of your body and the power of night to guide you towards a night of deep rejuvenating sleep.
Feel gratitude for this moment of stillness and relaxation.
Appreciate the opportunity to rest and to restore your mind and your body.
As you drift off to sleep,
