Begin by moving into a comfortable meditative position for the body.
This could be cross-legged on the ground,
Seated in a chair,
Or relaxed on the back.
As always,
The aim is to feel at ease and relaxed.
With minimal distractions from the physical form to allow us easier passage into our self and into stillness.
Wherever you find yourself,
Begin to notice your breath.
As you shift your focus to it,
Begin to slow it down continually.
Lengthening your inhales and exhales as much as is possible.
You should just barely be able to feel the air passing in and out of the nose.
There should be little to no sound as it moves,
Silently filling up the lungs.
You use this focus on the slow in and out movements of your breath to release all attachment to anything but the present moment.
For presence is peace.
Trust that you are capable of remaining here in this moment,
In this practice for the next little while,
Slowing down the breath and know that I will guide you back when it is time to transition back into the day.
Plantar j itching.
There is a correlation between rate of breath and longevity in nature,
But this conscious act is also a step towards oneness.
Through a consistent focus on slowing down your breath throughout your day,
Over time you may notice subtle changes in your connection and experience of life.
I am truly grateful to you for spending this time with me today,
And I hope to do so again soon.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Namaste
