Welcome.

Following is a brief prayer meditation for Ananda Mayakosha.

As you work with this particular practice,

It would be good to be seated and maybe in front of something that you might consider an altar.

It could just be a picture of someone you love.

You could have there representations of your teacher or teachers,

If that's helpful to you.

You could have representations of God or deities that you connect with.

Anything that reminds you of the divine.

For some people,

Nature is the easiest access point.

So you could have maybe something alive or a picture of a place that's really beautiful to you.

In this practice,

We're going to be asking for help.

In this way,

We cultivate our sense of surrender and awe.

This will help allow us to experience our naturally occurring bliss.

If you have an altar or objects,

You could keep your eyes slightly open and take those in.

If it's more of a mental image you're using today,

That's fine too.

You can close your eyes and bring that into your mind.

Let's begin with a few relaxed,

Deepened breaths into the belly.

As you breathe in and relax,

Feel yourself breathing in prana and taking in energy.

Allow yourself to feel that energy.

It may be helpful to turn your palms up in your lap to express and feel that sense of openness.

As we ask for help,

You could leave your hands there.

You could bring them together in prayer.

You could place your right hand on your heart and your left hand over the right and bow your head slightly.

All of those are acceptable.

Whichever position resonates with you is fine.

Then you're going to repeat to yourself this request,

Please help me open my heart.

Repeat that a few more times to yourself.

Please help me open my heart.

Breathe those words and that intention into your heart.

Then we'll repeat this phrase,

Please help me see love.

A few more times on your own.

Please help me see love.

Now we'll say,

May my heart be open.

Now if you have a visual,

If it's in your mind,

You can leave your eyes closed.

If it's in front of you,

Look at it.

Open your hands.

Open up your heart.

Open up your arms.

Open up your hands.

Take that deity or person or image into your heart.

See that image coming into your heart and then place your right hand on your heart and your left hand over.

Take them into your heart.

Physically bring them in.

Do that a few times.

Open your hands.

Take the image in with your mind and then bring it into your heart.

Take that image in and bring it into your heart.

With that,

Know that that image or deity or teacher in you are the same.

Bow your head to your heart.

Om Namah Shivaya.

With great respect and love,

I honor my heart,

My inner teacher.

Satakijay.

Jai Ma.

Salutations to the mother of the world.

Bring your palms together and take a forward bow.

Place your head or your hands on the ground.

Thank you for each and every day.

Om Shanti,

Shanti,

Shanti.
