Make yourself as comfortable as possible.

Close your eyes and begin to breathe slowly and deeply.

You can use your breath to calm your mind,

Relax your body,

And soothe your nervous system.

All you need to do is bring awareness to your breath.

Let your breath breathe you.

When you breathe in,

Send the breath deep into your solar plexus.

Feel the breath rise upward,

Flooding your chest,

Spreading out through your shoulders and neck,

And then gently push the breath out.

Feel the breath move through the depths of your being,

Dissolving blockages,

Softening muscles,

Soothing nerves.

Breathe in healing life force energy.

Breathe out anything and everything that bothers you.

Good.

Breathe.

Relax.

Let go.

Your body takes orders from your thoughts.

Tell the muscles of your face to relax,

Release,

Let go.

Relax your forehead,

Let it open and expand.

Notice your eyelids and all the tiny muscles surrounding your eyes.

Tell those muscles to relax,

Let go,

Release.

Become aware of the bundle of nerves behind your eyes that reach deep into the center of your brain.

Tell that bundle of nerves to soften,

Release,

Let go,

Relax,

Let go.

Your jaw grows heavy and all the muscles of your lips and mouth soften and relax,

Release,

Let go,

Let it all go.

Your neck becomes long and fluid and your head begins to float.

Your shoulders let go,

Release,

Relax.

Your arms and hands grow so heavy it's as though you can barely lift them.

Bring awareness to the space between the in-breath and the out-breath.

Let your mind rest in the pause.

Expand into the space where everything is calm,

Peaceful,

Quiet.

Let your breath carry you deeper into yourself.

Let your mind rest in the depths of your being.

Rest in this sacred place.

Rest for it is here in this sacred place that your spirit becomes deeply charged.

Expand into the infinite space that lies between thoughts.
