It’s a new dawn, a new day, a new life...isn’t it? It’s really all in how we choose to see things. It can be a new dawn or day or life if we choose for it to be. Say it with me..."Today is the best day of my life!"

Namaste everybody.

Welcome to In the Flow with Flurry Albert.

Are you feeling brave today?

How about light?

Are you feeling the light today?

What do you think?

So I am feeling fantastic today.

I loved the inauguration yesterday and it's not because we lost a president or gained a president.

That's not why I'm feeling great.

So if you're watching this even days from now or you're listening days from now,

We just had our inauguration here in the United States.

It was a day of hope,

Which is amazing because I've been talking a lot about hope lately.

But it was a new type of hope.

I shouldn't say new.

It's like a different type of hope that is brought about from the light and from feeling brave.

So I googled the poet laureate.

She's a youth poet laureate.

She's like 23 years old,

Which is the same age as my daughter.

Whoa.

So that poem that she read,

Forget everything else.

I don't care about the politics.

I really,

Really don't.

It's the message that I was so enthralled with.

And the last few lines of that poem,

It's called the poet laureate.

Her name is Amanda Gorman.

And the name of the poem is the hill we climb.

The last few lines,

Which she almost didn't even put in,

Are what impacted me more than anything else.

And I want to read those last few lines.

The new dawn blooms as we free it.

For there is always light.

If only we're brave enough to see it.

If only we're brave enough to be it.

Now,

I don't know what that means to you guys,

But are you being brave today?

How are you being today?

Gosh,

That word brave brings so much into my mind about how I personally am being.

There is always light,

Always going to be light.

But are we brave enough to be the light?

Because I'll tell you,

Lightworkers,

It can be difficult,

But it can be daunting.

Because being a lightworker,

You put yourself out there.

So,

Yeah.

So today is about being brave.

It is a new dawn,

A new day,

A new life.

Because I am taking on being brave.

Being brave in the light.

Oh my gosh.

Just absolutely love that.

So let's meditate on this,

Shall we?

Oh my gosh,

I've got a great mantra slash affirmation today.

I'll tell you,

The idea of,

Or the thought,

Forget about the idea,

The thought of light and bringing in the brave into my soul.

That just,

That does everything for me.

That makes me want to get up and dance.

It makes me want to get up and move and do the best job that I can today.

For everybody.

For you.

For me.

For my family,

My friends.

So being brave.

Right?

So,

Okay,

Let's get ourselves comfortable because we're going to meditate.

Get your blankie ready or your pillow or just your chair.

Something like I said before,

I've been sitting lately with my feet on the,

With my feet flat on the floor because I want to ground myself a little bit more lately.

So you can sit however you choose because comfort is queen.

Comfort.

Okay?

Alright,

So let's get ourselves comfortable.

Oh,

Before we do,

Before we close our eyes,

I want to talk about a hand mudra today.

Okay?

I try to keep this,

I try to keep these,

These meditations simple.

But you know what?

Today I thought this would be a great introduction into hand mudras.

Hand mudras are how we hold our hands as we are meditating.

Okay?

So the one that I want to introduce today is your thumb and your middle finger.

Okay?

So if you hold your,

Your thumb and your middle finger touching,

Okay,

What this does is,

And this is why I love,

I usually,

This is my usual way of sitting.

Okay?

It improves your intuition and alertness.

Right?

Because we can always be a little bit more alert.

And you know what it does?

It also helps to purify your emotions.

Don't we need some of that?

Right?

So our emotions and our thoughts are getting purified as we sit in meditation with our thumb and our middle finger touching.

Okay?

On both,

And you obviously,

You would sit with your palms up.

Okay?

Great.

So let's close our eyes.

And let's take a nice deep breath in.

And breathe out.

Beautiful.

I want you to feel the light.

Feel the light on you.

The sun,

The light shining on your face.

Even if you're sitting indoors,

You have an imagination.

Because the light is always there.

And if we are brave enough to see it and be it and feel it,

Then we will have so much more in our life than we can ever ask for.

Our mantra today,

Affirmation,

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

And that is our choice.

That is our choice.

It's my choice for today to be my best day ever.

I will keep the time.

And let's begin.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Today is the best day of my life because I say so.

Thank you so much for joining today everybody.

I look forward to being with you again soon.

So until next time,

Namaste.

Hi Lauri, I fully agree on this outstanding poem and presentation by Amanda Gorman at the inauguration of Joe Biden on January 20th, 2021! It has been breath taking! And the last part which you recited, is only for the brave: When day comes we step out of the shade, aflame and unafraid The new dawn blooms as we free it For there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it If only we're brave enough to be it So let’s be brave and go for the light ... Joe
