Namaste everybody.
Welcome to In The Flow with Lori Albert.
So today I want to just be.
How does that sound?
Just to just be however that looks to you.
However that looks to.
.
.
However that looks.
Doesn't it?
However it looks to you.
However it feels to you.
What does that,
You know?
I mean,
Because you know what?
We've been.
.
.
There's been so much stress.
Oh my gosh.
So much.
Seriously.
So much stress of like how to be,
Ways that we need to be,
Ways that we need to think,
Ways that,
You know,
Just all of that,
Right?
So what if we just took today and just be all day long?
How would that be?
Forgive the pun there,
You know?
It's kind of been a tough several weeks,
You know?
Astrology wise and socially,
All of that.
You know what?
I don't know about you,
But I'm just sick of the waking up and being like,
Oh what's gonna happen today?
Just tired of that,
Right?
So what if we just,
Just today,
We're like,
Let's just be.
Who cares?
Let's just be.
How's that feel?
That feels,
It kind of feels refreshing.
You know,
I've been so focused lately or it feels like I've been focused so much on healing lately for myself,
For our talks here.
And healing is important,
Don't get me wrong,
Especially right now.
It's very important.
But you know what?
Sometimes we think too much,
You know?
So,
So what we're gonna do today is I want to talk about,
You guys are gonna laugh because I want to talk about OM.
What is OM?
You know,
I mean,
It's the age-old.
I mean,
People that don't meditate,
People that aren't even familiar with it have heard of the term OM,
Right?
Most people have because that's just kind of the quintessential,
That's what everybody thinks of when they think of meditating.
OM and with the hand mudras and all that stuff.
But here's the thing,
Do we even know?
I want to tell us about what OM means.
It's a Vedic teaching,
I guess we could say,
Right?
And it was,
And I learned this from David G.
And basically,
What OM is,
It was mostly described instead of O-M,
It was written as A-U-M.
So AUM,
Right?
And what that means is A stands for creation,
U stands for manifesting,
Manifestation,
Put it that way,
And M stands for destruction.
So AUM is everything.
It's the universe.
It's everything,
Right?
Birth,
Creation,
Death,
Or creation,
Manifestation,
Destruction.
I guess that's the best way to put it,
You know?
So really fascinating,
Right?
And the bottom line is,
AUM is,
It's the union of it all.
It's the union of mind,
Body,
And spirit,
Right?
So that's why it's an awesome meditation.
It's an awesome mantra to meditate to,
Because it just brings it all together.
And I've heard so many times over the years that if you want something,
If you want to manifest something,
If you just want to,
You want to feel better,
You want anything,
Right?
Meditate with AUM as your mantra.
Pretty cool,
Right?
And it's just so interesting because there's certain things that society,
And we just know,
Right?
And then when you learn the reality of it,
When you learn how it came to be,
It takes it to another level.
And that's what I love about,
That's what I love about learning all the ancient texts.
I'm having so much fun,
And David Ji is the one who really got me sort of going with,
You know,
Wanting to learn all the stuff in the Vedas and all of that,
Right?
So anyway,
We are going to meditate on AUM today.
So let's just,
Everybody,
Sit back,
Get yourself comfortable.
Oh yeah,
Close your eyes.
Allow your body just to start to relax,
Start to feel yourself just melting into your chair.
Beautiful.
Close your eyes.
Let's take a deep,
Beautiful breath in.
Didn't that feel great?
Let's do that again.
Take a deep breath in,
And when you exhale this time,
Let's have it be audible,
Okay?
So breathe in.
Being present.
How perfect,
Right?
So what are you grateful for today?
What is it that's pretty amazing in your life that you're so thankful for?
It could be that you simply woke up healthy.
It could be the weather outside.
What simply are you grateful for?
For me,
My daughter has two birds that we just recently got,
And their song is so happy.
I am so grateful for that.
They are so happy,
And every time I hear the tweeting,
I realize that being happy,
Like I am jolted into the reminder of being happy.
So our mantra today,
As I said,
Is AUM.
AUM.
And David Jeet likes to teach us that as we do AUM,
Symbolizing creation and manifestation and destruction and the union of our body,
Mind,
And soul,
At the end,
There's a silence.
So it's AUM.
That silence at the end is the sum total of it all.
The bringing together of our mind,
Body,
And soul.
AUM.
AUM.
AUM.
I will keep the time,
And let's begin.
AUM.
AUM.
AUM.
AUM.
AUM.
AUM.
AUM.
AUM.
AUM.
AUM.
AUM.
AUM.
AUM.
Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
Release the mantra AUM.
Let's take a deep breath in.
When you feel comfortable,
You can open your eyes.
How did that feel,
Everybody?
You know,
There is nothing better than starting your day out in that place of silence and stillness.
And I'm so grateful for all of you.
Thank you for joining me today.
I appreciate every single one of you.
And don't forget to meditate every day.
So until next time,
Namaste.
Enjoy your day.
