O que você irá aprender
Are you feeling trapped by persistent habits or an addiction, despite your efforts to break free? Have traditional approaches left you feeling disillusioned? It's time for a fresh perspective. You may have been told that you simply need to be more disciplined or have more willpower in order to change your unwanted habits or addiction, but what if this isn’t true? In this course we are going to explore a different perspective on understanding and overcoming habits and addictions. This is a powerful understanding of how we work as humans, one that makes habit change, and breaking addictions a lot less effortful and a lot less stressful. I have been where you are, and have now been able to leave behind an addiction, and many habits, through this understanding. In this course we will be covering: • The role of the brain in establishing an addiction or habit/s • How your habit or addiction has never actually helped you • The innocence of addiction and getting caught up in the cycle • A simple way out and dealing with urges I am so glad that you found your way to this course and I’m excited for what we are about to explore together.

Lição 1
The Role Of The Brain In Forming Habits
In this lesson we’ll explore how habits and addictions are an innocent way the brain tries to help us. We’ll look at a simple version of how the habit or addiction cycle gets created, and then maintained. Understanding how this is working, and how we can get stuck in it, is one of the keys to breaking free.
Lição 2
Why Your Habit or Addiction Has Never Helped You
Either consciously or unconsciously we only ever engage in a habit or addiction because we believe it supports us in some way. Even if that way is simply distracting or avoiding. In this lesson we will delve into the thought-feeling-behaviour experience to understand it from a fresh perspective. One that helps us to break free naturally and easily.
Lição 3
Urges Are Our Wakeup Call
In this lesson we cover how an urge is a wakeup call to where our mind is at. Rather than urges being something to fear, surf or act on, we can start to view them from a fresh perspective. One that allows us more space and freedom to simply feel them.
Lição 4
Seeing The Innocence Of Your Habit Or Addiction
In this session we dive into the guilt and shame that can show up when we feel unable to leave a habit or addiction behind. This then becomes something that fuels the addiction cycle. We’ll explore the innocence behind this so that you can be released from this and feel free.
Lição 5
The Simple Way Out Of Any Habit Or Addiction
In this session I’ll explain a simple way to leave any habit or addiction behind. This is something you can do anywhere and doesn’t require a technique. It may seem too simple! But the understanding we have covered in this course is what underpins the simplicity.

I certainly learned a lot about addictions even tho I was not a drinker, I’m addicted to anti anxiety medication and on line shopping. I’m also a therapist I’ll definitely share this with my clients, very informative. Hope it works for me too.

Powerful course that works instantly. I am going to start again to reinforce it’s teachings. What’s great is the simple approach. This is paramount as it doesn’t add to the stress to trying to let go of the habit. Thank you so much.

This is a whole different way of thinking, but at the same time the way I have been thinking all along. I just couldn't make sense of it all. This is such a better path forward instead of you drink because you're an alcoholic and you will always be an addict and if you don't keep working the program, you will fail this type of thinking will be so...

What a relief! Our course has made me realize that I am not my thoughts. I am worthy. And as the river flows, I don’t need to jump onto the boat of judgment and self loathing. I can still my mind, let the thoughts come and go and realize that the urge to drink that glass of wine passes whether I drink it or not. I also notice that when the urge...

Thank you for this course! Absolutely makes sense and will listen again. It’s been such a struggle of learning about myself and desiring to quit smoking. It’s consumed my thinking way too much! Many thanks and look forward to more of your teachings

Food for thought. Provocative. Easier to understand than implement

Thank you Lindsey. This was incredibly helpful and so clearly expressed. I use the river metaphor as a visualisation when I can. The course has helped me to slowly reframe my emotional lens, including reducing the 'gravity' and false sense of 'this must be true and acted upon' energy that gets stirred up. I will listen to it a few more times. 🙏🏽💖

Thank you for shining a light on the fact that our addictions were created through the need to provide comfort, not because we are “bad” or incapable of controlling our behaviors. There was so much goodness packed into this these 5 sessions!

This is great and it resonates with me regarding my urge that starts around 3 pm everyday to want a glass of wine. I’m on day 6 of ignoring that urge and letting it flow on by. I noticed that every day is a little bit easier. It’s not easy yet by any means, it’s still a struggle to not give in but your words and the river analogy really has...

I really nice perspective to look at addictive habits and behaviours from, looking at it through the lens of the river metaphor is a nice way to detach from and see things objectively rather than subjectively,. The course was well but together and felt very authentic and that it came from a lived experience, which in my opinion just adds to it...
