There’s a quiet longing many of us carry—the ache to be fully seen, met, and loved exactly as we are. But for so many, that desire is tangled in fear: fear of judgment, rejection, or being “too much.” In this poetic and somatic meditation, you’ll be gently guided through that tension, invited to soften your armor, and offered the radical permission to witness yourself with tenderness. Using metaphor, breath, and body-based cues, this practice helps you remember: you were never meant to go unseen. Your body is not a problem to fix, but a lighthouse longing to be recognized. This is a meditation for anyone who has ever hidden their truth, dimmed their light, or felt invisible. Come as you are. Be seen—first and foremost, by yourself.

Welcome,

You don't have to be anywhere else right now,

There's nothing to prove,

Nowhere to perform,

Let's take a breath,

A breath that doesn't ask anything of you,

But arrives like a friend,

Let your shoulders drop,

Let your belly be soft,

Let the body know we're finally not rushing.

There's a quiet ache inside so many of us that lives in the space between our words and hides in the way we turn our bodies slightly away in photographs,

That pulses under the skin when someone looks at us too lovingly.

It's the ache to be seen,

Fully,

And the fear that if we are,

It will be too much,

Or not enough.

Maybe you were told your feelings were too big,

Maybe you learned to disappear to be safe,

Maybe you started curating yourself,

Only showing the pieces that felt polished,

Digestible,

And acceptable,

And yet somewhere deep in your bones there's a longing to be witnessed in your raw,

Undone,

Glorious becoming.

And here's the sacred contradiction.

We crave being seen,

But we've been taught that it isn't safe,

And so we hide.

We rehearse.

We armor.

We try our best to control.

And we blur our edges to avoid judgment.

We silence the voice that wants to sing and cry and laugh too loudly.

And with every little moment of hiding,

A piece of us gets a little more tired.

And not just tired of performing,

Tired of being unknown,

Even to ourselves.

There is a part of you that is wild with that longing,

To be met in your full aliveness,

Not in spite of your body,

Your desires,

Your softness,

But because of it.

What if it's safe to be seen now?

What if you don't need to be healed or perfected or proven to be worthy of being witnessed?

The earth has never asked the flower to bloom quietly.

The sky doesn't apologize when it glows at sunset.

Your body is a lighthouse,

Not a problem to be solved.

You were never meant to go unseen.

Bring your attention to your skin now.

You feel where you meet air.

The sensation of being touched by the world,

Even when no one's looking.

Breathe into the outline of your body,

Your shoulders,

Your hands,

Your belly,

Your pelvis,

Your thighs,

Your feet,

Your gentle face.

Let them be unhidden here.

Imagine a warm light gathering behind your eyes,

Like someone is finally looking at you with complete kindness.

Noticing the gentle curve of your cheek,

The way your chest rises when you breathe,

The quiet power in your presence.

Let this powerful,

Caring gaze be your own.

What happens in your body when you let yourself be seen,

Not by the world,

But by you?

And you rest in that recognition,

As if your soul has just said,

I see you.

I've been waiting for you all along,

Exactly as you are now.

Let yourself rest here,

Green one.

You don't need to rush back into hiding.

You don't need to perform softness or perfection.

You are seen today,

And you are deeply loved.

You are home.
