Did you know some flowers don't bloom in response to the sun?
They bloom in response to sound,
Specifically the frequency of a pollinator's wings.
The hum of the right bee,
At the right pitch,
At the right moment.
That's when they open,
Wider,
Faster,
And more fully.
They're listening for the world around them,
And when it's right,
They say yes.
Now take a breath here,
Let your body soften a little.
Your body isn't meant to open on command either.
It doesn't bloom by being told.
It blooms when it's met.
When the timing is right.
When the room is safe.
When the rhythm is familiar enough to trust.
Let your body be like that flower,
Listening,
Waiting.
Not in freeze,
But a kind of sacred readiness.
Not yet,
Is a kind of wisdom.
Feel your breath moving through you like a breeze.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
You don't have to make your body open.
You don't have to fix your desire.
You don't have to force your readiness.
What if all you needed was to wait for the right frequency?
The body doesn't respond to pressure,
It responds to presence,
To tone,
To tone of voice,
To tone of thought,
To the tone of the room around you.
So let's tune into your tone now.
Let your shoulders soften.
Let your jaw go slack.
Let the back of your tongue melt just a little.
Let your breath be an invitation instead of an instruction.
Let yourself follow it.
Now bring your attention to the center of your chest and imagine your body as a flower.
Not opening for anyone else.
Not blooming for the calendar.
Not doing it to be good or right or ready,
But just listening to what wants to open in you today.
Maybe it's subtle.
Maybe it's invisible.
Maybe it's still underground in your roots.
All of it counts.
And if you've been wondering what's wrong with you,
If you've been trying to fix the part of you that just won't bloom,
Maybe you're not broken.
Maybe you're just a flower waiting for your bee.
And when the tone is right,
When the light returns,
When your body recognizes the rhythm of yes,
You will open and it will be beautiful.
Now take one more deep breath and hold it and let it go slowly.
And thank your body for listening,
For not rushing,
For remembering how to say yes.
On its own terms.
