Welcome,

Radiant Soul.

Today's meditation is a place where you can rest,

Soften,

And reconnect with the quiet wellspring of love that already lives within you.

I'm Nola Bloom,

And on this Valentine's Day,

I invite you to gently turn inward,

Towards the steady,

Radiant love that resides within your own heart.

This love lives quietly beneath the movement of daily life,

Steady and present,

Ready to be felt and remembered.

I have cherished Valentine's Day for as long as I can remember.

A day simply dedicated to love.

How beautiful is that?

For me,

This day has never really been about romantic love.

To be honest,

I can't even remember the last time I was in a relationship on Valentine's Day,

And yet it has always felt meaningful because love,

At its essence,

Is so much more expansive than that.

Valentine's Day can hold many different feelings.

For some,

It feels joyful and celebratory.

For others,

It can feel a little tender or quietly emotional.

Wherever you find yourself today,

Allow this practice to become a gentle reminder of your own worth,

A place where love begins within,

Nourishing every part of your being,

And naturally extending outward into the world around you.

Now go ahead and settle yourself into a comfortable lying down position.

Use pillows or blankets as needed and adjust the body in a way that feels supported and at ease,

As though you are being held in a cocoon of softness.

Take a slow,

Easy breath in,

And as you exhale,

Feel the body settling into the support beneath you.

Allow the breath to find its own natural rhythm.

There is nothing you need to do for this practice.

Simply follow the sound of my voice as the journey unfolds,

The body resting more deeply with each breath.

Now bring awareness to your heart center,

The place of quiet wisdom.

Here,

Gently set a sankalpa,

A heartfelt intention to guide your journey today.

It may arise as a word,

A feeling,

Or a subtle sensation.

Allow it to emerge naturally,

Like a soft whisper from within.

And if nothing comes,

Trust in your own heart's wisdom,

Which already knows the way,

And hold this intention at the heart,

Allowing it to rest quietly there,

Unfolding in its own perfect time.

Now imagine yourself resting upon a luxurious bed of silky white satin sheets,

Scattered with delicate red rose petals.

The softness beneath you feels smooth and cool against the skin,

Gently molding to the shape of your body.

The air carries a subtle fragrance of roses,

Warm and soothing,

Surrounding you in a quiet atmosphere of tenderness and ease.

Above you,

A warm radiant light begins to glow,

Like sunlight filters through the clouds.

This light slowly pours downward,

Touching the crown of your head.

It moves across the forehead,

And the space between the brows softens,

A gentle point of quiet awareness awakening here.

Around the eyes,

Warmth spreads gently,

As though inner vision is resting in softness.

The cheeks and jaw settle into ease,

The whole face held in quiet care,

The light flows to the throat,

Warm and spacious,

Inviting breath and expression to move freely,

The light moves into the right shoulder,

Upper arm,

Elbow,

Forearm,

Wrist,

And into the palm of the right hand.

Light flowing through the fingers,

Touching each fingertip with warmth and tenderness.

Now sense the entire right arm as one radiant field of sensation.

The light moves through the left shoulder,

Upper arm,

Elbow,

Forearm,

Wrist,

And into the palm of the left hand.

Light flowing through the fingers,

Touching each fingertip with warmth and tenderness.

Now sense the entire left arm as one luminous field of sensation.

The light gathers gently at the chest,

A quiet warmth spreading through the heart space,

Steady and alive,

The heart resting in its own glow,

Love naturally arising from within.

Rest here for a few moments,

Feeling radiant self-love glowing brightly at the center of the chest.

From the heart,

The light continues its slow descent into the belly,

And you feel softness beneath the rhythm of the breath.

The light moves into the pelvis and the hips,

Grounding and steady,

The body supported by the softness beneath you.

The light now moves down the right leg,

Thigh,

Calf,

Ankle,

Sole of the right foot,

Each toe glowing softly,

Touched by warmth and radiance.

Now sense the entire right leg as one luminous field of sensation.

The light now moves into the left leg,

Thigh,

Knee,

Calf,

Ankle,

Sole of the left foot,

Each toe glowing softly,

Resting in quiet ease.

Now sense the entire left leg as one radiant field of sensation.

Now sense the whole body glowing now,

Resting upon the satin sheets covered in red rose petals,

Bathed in soft radiant light,

Every part of the body glowing worthy of love and tenderness.

Rest here,

Allowing the body to receive warmth,

Softness,

And the quiet feeling of being held.

And notice the body growing heavy now,

Sinking gently into the softness beneath you,

Supported and grounded,

Steady and at ease.

And then notice lightness,

The body becoming spacious and buoyant,

Resting lightly within the softness around you,

Heavy and light,

Grounded and spacious.

These sensations move naturally,

Like slow waves passing through the body,

Gradually blending and merging into one radiant field of sensation.

Lightness,

Heaviness,

Softening into one continuous experience,

The body resting in a quiet sense of oneness.

And bring awareness to the natural rhythm of your breath,

Simply noticing the gentle rise and fall of the chest and belly.

Sense the breath moving through the entire body,

Like a soft current flowing through open space,

Each inhale creating subtle expansion,

Each exhale inviting ease.

Inhale and exhale,

The body breathes,

Awareness rests.

And now gently notice the inner landscape of the heart and mind,

Thoughts arise,

Feelings appear,

Sensations shift and change in their own perfect time.

Love that feels warm,

Love that feels tender,

Love that feels uncertain,

Love that feels open,

All of it welcomed within awareness.

Now experience these movements like rose petals carried by a soft breeze.

Rest here,

Allowing space for feeling as it moves naturally.

As awareness deepens,

Sense the quiet presence beneath thought and emotion,

A gentle witnessing awareness,

Open,

Spacious,

Steady.

Here,

A quiet knowing emerges,

A sense of being at home within yourself,

Exactly as you are.

A natural warmth may be felt here,

A recognition of your own worth,

Simply known.

A soft understanding may arise that the love you have been seeking has always lived here,

Already present,

Already whole.

Rest in this intuitive awareness for a few more moments,

Allowing this quiet knowing to settle deeply,

Like something remembered,

Gently returning to awareness as a familiar truth felt throughout the entire body.

And from this quiet awareness,

Notice a subtle sense of ease spreading through the body,

A soft contentment,

A feeling of being exactly where you are,

Simply resting in this natural state of being.

Allow this quiet bliss to spread gently through the whole body,

Like a warmth glowing from within.

Rest here for a few more moments.

Within this quiet ease,

Notice the gentle warmth at the center of the chest,

Quietly glowing beneath awareness,

As though a rose is gently unfurling at the heart petal by petal,

Resting in soft radiance.

Within this warmth,

Allow the feeling of love to be both deeply personal and effortlessly spacious.

From this quiet center,

The warmth extends outward,

Touching the space around you with kindness and compassion,

Love resting within,

Love radiating outwards,

Love returning gently to the heart,

Love resting as your natural state of being.

Return now to your sankalpa,

Your heartfelt intention that guided your journey today.

Feel it resting gently within your heart,

Held in warm and quiet awareness,

Allowing it to settle deeply and unfold in its own perfect time.

When you are ready,

Bring awareness back into the physical body.

Notice the natural rhythm of your breath,

The weight of the body resting on the ground,

Gently wiggling the fingers and toes.

Allow the eyes to open,

Perhaps a gentle stretch,

Inviting a soft awakening throughout the body,

And slowly allow the eyes to open.

Carry the sense of love with you,

Remembering that the love you offer yourself naturally becomes a love you share with the world.

The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.

Thank you for taking this journey with me today,

And may your heart always remember the light of your own radiant love.

Namaste
